We sat outside which was really nice. They were out of a couple of items that we had been looking forward to, like the lobster tacos but our reservation was for a later time and they had been busy that day so understandable. I also feel like it shows how fresh the food is when they actually run out. Service was friendly and helpful when I had questions. They offered up suggestions for the items they were out of and were all around warm and inviting.

Lovely View Good Service. Just returned from dinner here this evening. Location on the Melacon is great, fun to look out at the ocean and to people watch. Music was a bit loud for my taste, but maybe I’m just an old fogey. Food was pretty good overall, but there are so many really good places to eat in Cozumel. We had the beef “ceviche” which I enjoyed very much (imaginative and well executed), the pork belly tacos which were just okay and a seafood medley with fideo (very fine short pasta) which was quite tasty. All in all a good meal, but not great. Our server Juan was always ready to help when we needed him and did well.

Love to come here every year. I think it is the most romantic spot on the island. Beautiful place to watch sunset with a couple of cocktails and some nice food. Can have drink & small bites or a meal, menu changes often, great service, different original art on the wall everytime, what's not to like.

The experience here was a really mixed bag. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar around 6:30 and were able to enjoy the sea view while we had some cocktails. After dark, the atmosphere seems to switch into factory mode and service became quite spotty. While our guacamole came out in a timely manner, my boyfriends tostadas came out after a while and was finished long before my lobster tacos came out. By this time my appetite was almost gone which was a blessing I suppose as the tacos were more on the scale of an amuse buche. The lobster was unidentifiable and completely overpowered by the aioli and hard char. The tortillas were delicious though. The shrimp and fish tostadas were average at best. Adding the salsa that came with the chips was definitely needed in order to add some moisture and acid. We may try again but won’t rush back. On an unrelated note, the bartenders all had a strange procedure of holding the orders in their mouths while mixing drinks. Slightly unhygienic?

I read some of the reviews, and this is the 5th restaurant we've been to whle staying in Cozumel. I am more upset with the restaurant's method of moving tables, than i am with the servic or food. The food was mediocre, but not terrible, I reserved a table for 7, we were on the side, near the street, which wasn't the ocean front we reserved but it's turned out ok. We ordered, and then had some drinks, and talked, but appartently El Palmor wanted to turn our table, so they turned the music up so loud, it actually hurt our ears. I got up (twice) and asked them to please turn down the music, but it remained on a high level. We couldn't even talk at the table, this was the birthday of one of my God Sons, and Valentine to boot. When the waitress came to the table, with the music still blasting our ear drums, she got upset when I left a 10% tip. I normally tip good, 20-25% for a good meal and service. I would bypass this place, the Mahi Mahi fish plate, was ok but tasteless, as was the white beans. There was zero flavor. (4) out of 7 of us ordered this dish. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, it' over priced, the staff is indiffenent to the customer and the service is bad

Make a reservation, and if you can, sit on the front veranda portion of this 100 + year old building. They have a mixologist who will make an amazing (mezcal) drink for you, and they offer wonderful and unique dishes. We had an appetizer that was a take on empenadas (infladitas), a main for two made of fish, shrimp, octopus and clams and served in what seemed like a paella pan. It was scrumptous. Dessert kept simple with brown sugar glazed pineapple and ice cream. Watch the world go by on the boulevard and see the ocean, or sit in the courtyard which looked very cozy and comfortable. Prices were very fair. We'll return next year.

So happy we made the short walk from our cruise ship to this fantastic spot for an amazing lunch and cocktails. The cocktails were just over the top delicious. We had the habanero margarita, passion fruit mojito, and a cucumber mojito. All were fantastic! Lunch was tuna tartare and we had a big assortment of small tacos. All were just great flavor explosions. But a major part of our great food, drinks and experience was all due to Camila who not only was a great help in choosing our drinks and food, but just a joy to talk with. So when you go say hi to Camila for us.

Cute restaurant in an old house right off the Main Street (non-ocean side but with a great sunset view!) Sat outside on the porch for a sunset dinner - tuna carpaccio, fish taco and lobster tacos were all tasty. Tacos were tiny (be prepared to order more than 2 if you are eating that for your meal) - but the corn tortillas are made in house. A little on the pricey side given portion sizes. Overall good food and experience.

The restaurant is in a nice location right on the main street with nice views. We sat outside and enjoyed the sea views. The cocktails are great although could do with having slightly more alcohol in them (it was hard to taste in some), there is a delicious local craft beer on the menu that you can only get in Cozumel which I highly recommend. The empanadas were excellent, especially the cochinita pibil. I really enjoyed the Poc Chuc Taco and the Pork Belly taco. The fish tacos were ok, not mind blowing. Sadly they were out of desert the night we visited which is a shame as we wanted to try the chocolate brownie. It is nice to find a place serving some tasty mexican food in the touristy area, would visit this place again.

This place has nice views on the porch. The menu is smaller portions and Mexican with a twist. I like getting some variety so that works well for me. Sometimes I will just two small appetizers or split a couple of servings with another person. Drinks are the same, familiar but with a twist. One of my go tos is the 3 tacos.

This little place is located downtown at Melgar Avenue. Food is good and tasty and drinks are something new however we did find prices to be a little expensive if we compare the size of the drinks and portion of the food. Overall it was a great way to enjoy the views of the bay. I would recommend

I ordered their shrimp cocktail and Grilled shrimp in garlic sauce. The minute l saw my shrimp cocktail as my appetizer, l knew l was in trouble. The portion was HUGE and shrimp galore. It was brought in a BIG margarita glass and just raining shrimp. After that l was full, but l was bound and determined to eat my entree, my grilled shrimp. One taste of THAT and l felt like l had died and gone to heaven ! It was grilled with bits of garlic and the flavor was incredible!!! Looking forward to going to this restaurant again when l return to Cozumel

We were in town for a day but were only looking to get off the ship and grab lunch with a true authentic flair, not the Hooters or other "local fav's" right at the pier. So we ventured out along the water front and walked just under 20 minutes to get to El Palomar. Once we got there we had the choice of eating out front, inside or out in the court yard. We decided on the court yard because of the outdoorsiness and the garden feel. There we proceeded to order way more food than we could consume in our attempt to "try it all" ... good luck to you if you go this route. We had chips and salsa, ( you can ask for the hot one too), octopus, guacamole, beef tacos, refried beans and it turned out to be a ton of food and it was just a bit over $40 USD. They had great service, good food, plenty of beverage choices and a relaxed feel. Still safe to walk to and easy to find and but not in the middle the crazy, plenty of places to to stop and grab a drink or do a little shopping along the way.

We visited El Palomar last night because we wanted a somewhat romantic dinner while watching the lightning storm. They have great mixed drinks (such as La Llorona for mezcal lovers) and a nice covered porch on which to enjoy them. Last night the porch was full so we sat just inside under the high ceiling surrounded by photos of marine life. It was comfortable with good cross-ventilation and music of pleasant volume. We had avocado soup and a range of tacos to start, then snapper fillet al mojo de ajo and pork belly carnitas (which were a highlight). The tortillas are handmade and mains are served with white rice and black beans colados. Service was good. El Palomar is a dependable restaurant with a beautiful setting, great drinks, and delicious food.
