Recommended by a local Dive shop. The staff and food were very good. The location overlooks the water from a second story. Just down from the passenger ferry. We showed up before the kitchen opened but they let us in and we had great margaritas...and food. Very friendly and we highly recommend it!More

THEY COPIED AND USED OUR CREDIT CARD AND WE HAD TO DELETE THE CARD! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! We only used the card once in Mexico, it was here, they took it away from us for a minute, and the next day a purchase was made...with it. So we can be certain it was them. The criminal suit is pending.More

I had great expectations for Muellecito. I had eaten lunch there a few years ago. This time, service was poor. Servers were slow, did not pay a lot of attention to our table. It took forever to get the bill. They claimed that they did...not have the billing system functioning, stated they had to bill me by hand. We had to go to the cash register counter, and they could not or would not take my visa card. Had to use my Amex card instead. The servers did not seem to care about my displeasure at the length (at least 1/2 hr) of my wait to get my check, and to pay it (10 more min, at least). Food was ok, but not spectacular. Expensive given the quality/taste of it. I do really hope they improve. Owner should improve supervision of its servers, because I would love to go back to el Muellecito when in Cozumel on my next trip there. The views are spectacular, but during sunset it is advisable to sit inside the A/C area, as the heat and the light from the sun setting over the horizon, can become unbearable outside. Hope they improve! Thanks, Ricardo Zamora Mexico CityMore

... but the urge for some seafood and good trip advisor reviews ( one can question the genuinity of those reviews) made us try the obvious tourist trap anyways. Way overpriced, tiny portions and cocktails like they were mixed by a 7 year old. Unless...you are a tasteless cruise ship passenger avoid this one and try another restaurant. Los Nopales was the hot during our trip!More

Great views over the water and decent food. But they blare pop music so loud you have to shout across-the table to have a conversation. Go somewhere else to enjoy the view and conversation!!

It's never a good business plan to serve food that sickens your customers. We were a group of 8 and the food that we were served made us sick. It's not much fun spending Christmas eve sick and vomiting. We won't be back. We spend...2 to 3 months per year in Cozumel and we all will never recommend this establishment to friends and family.More

I am a local person!! I usually go there with my freinds ( we are regulars), today we went there to watch a soccer game. We arrived really hungry. A freind of mine ( also a regular client) went ahead and ordered some food while...we parked. When we entered the restaurant a friend ordered a bottle of whiskey. Soon, the waiter that “took my friend’s order” came back to tell us they did not have the bottle we ordered, just another one ( more expensive). While we decided if we changed the bottle my friend asked if the waiter had ordered the food. He just said no quite rudely (he did not even asked what she had ordered or apologized for the mistake) and kept waiting for us to decide. We started talking if we should go to another place and again, in stead of trying to order the food while we decided, he just walked away. Then he came back and asked if we decided on the bottle. That moment we asked to change waiters and he said “you can change waiters, but your bottle is not going to magically appear” We said it was not the bottle, it was his attitude. He left. I tried ordering food and was ignored by all the staff... I HAD TO STAND UP and go order to another waiter. The place was not even full. There was no manager to make a complaint. We stayed just because the match had begun.More

Met with a local clothing merchandiser and had the nachos plus some excellent piña coladas. Great value will definitely come back.

This place had reasonably priced drinks, more of a local vibe and a good atmosphere. We are Americans and enjoyed hearing the American hip hop music the DJ played.

This simple restaurant above Cafe Rolandi and overlooking the water, is good for a simple, fresh meal, especial the fish dishes. Contemporary music on Thursdays. Reasonably priced and friendly.
