They offer great tacos and the beer is cold and inexpensive. We liked the atmosphere and enjoyed this eatery.

When I SCUBA dive in Cozumel, I ask the dive masters where they eat. This place is 30 blocks off the beach so not a tourist location. It even has a walk up window that the local use. You get a lot of authentic Mexican food for not a lot of money.

Simply put, Taqueria el Pique has the best tacos on the island. The menu is painted on the wall, there is a great outdoor seating area in the back, and the service is good. Enough said. The people writing negative reviews are just upset that their tacos aren't like Taco Bell's.

Very upset, we listened. Our meal was very disappointing. Even the horachata wasn't on par. It wasn't my last meal on the island thank goodness.

These tacos are delicious! It's a bit of a trek from the main touristy areas, but you are rewarded for your effort with delicious food at a crazy, reasonable price. The tacos are fresh and delicious, the prices more than fair. We make a visit every trip!

You want a great taco - beef, chicken, pork, other - served Mexican style that will make you yearn for more...then this is your spot. Located back in the "real Cozumel" part of town, but easy to find - just ask anyone. Simple, great tacos at a ridiculously cheap price.

A bit off the normal tourist venue, but worth the trip if you want some local cuisine that's good, inexpensive. English may be a challenge. Our waiter was very helpful to steer us away from some of the dishes that would be a bit challenging for us (think tripe). We had the Tacos Pastor, Pollo, Bistec, and the Fajitas. All... More

We found this authentic local taco spot while walking from our hotel to the beach. It was so good we went back twice! Try the tacos al pastor…so good! You know its a great find when it is filled with locals. Highly recommend!

Since arriving in Cozumel 6 months ago, I often ask new friends, especially the locals, where to eat and get the best. When it comes to tacos, the lists vary (lucky me), but El Pique is always one of the top picks. And it does not disappoint! Open after 6, this place has all the usual choices, and they are... More

El Pique is awesome. Some of the best local food you'll have while on Cozumel. They have a very large menu (for a taqueria), so bring your adventurous appetite. Plus it's cheap. Great food for two, plus beer for under $12; what's not to like?
