Our tour guide recommended this restaurant after our San Gervacio archeological tour. Our group was hungry and hot after walking around the ruins in the hot sun. We stepped into this restaurant on the beach and immediately was able to relax. We ordered the fresh fried red snapper which came with rice and tortillas. This was the best way to relax on the beach and have a delicious lunch with a cold one in our hands and feet buried in the sand.

Such a great place to spend the afternoon. Order lunch and drinks and snorkel and swim. There’s a natural breakwater here so it’s almost always calm. Showers for rinsing off. Snorkel gear rental was $15 I think.
Place is CASH ONLY so be prepared
Menu runs from French fries, guacamole, ceviches and shrimp cocktail to whole fried fish and parriadas meant for 4-6 people to share. Lots of fun!

It was July 2020, the world was at a strange impasse. American passports had lost nearly all credibility and value. Somehow, our wonderful continental cousins to the south, Mexico, still welcomed us with open arms. We came on a day trip to Cozumel, rented a jeep, and drove to this side of the island to eat at a restaurant next door that was actually closed, so we ended up here. Boy did we luck out. We were the only patrons when we were there, and they were very prepared, had masks and hand sanitizer and temperature checks. Service was incredible and the LOBSTER OH MY LORD THE LOBSTER!!! generous portion, fresh, just caught that morning, great garlic sauce to go with it. We will come back.

Major disappointment
We visited this beach/restaurant twice before and loved it. Sorry to say this last visit was completely opposite. We were on a cruise over New Years and the prices were triple from our last visit, which was about a year earlier. The servers were acting as if we should just pay the outrageous price of 100 dollars for one large fish for lunch. They had the worst attitude I have ever experienced in Mexico and we have traveled to Cancun and Monterrey many times.
Parking lot attendant was drunk and directed our friend to back up right into another Jeep. He then proceeded to curse at our friend and I dusted he had to pay for the “damages” which were imperceptible.
We were so disappointed in this experience and will never go back here again. So many other options just down the road...keep going right past this place!

This was a place we would visit everytime we came to Cozumel, trying to get away from the regular tourist locations. On our last visit here in Feb 2020, we noticed the menus had changed, and their prices were just like any other tourist location.
Bummer.
Domestic beer for 5.00 USd?? Com'on! They used to be 2.00!! A guacamole appetizer for 10.00?? It used to be 5.00!!
Their food is good, but dont expect extraordinary. Fresh? Yes, but what else would you expect?
Having said that, if you would like a table on the beach, swim near your table, average food, average service, nice views, and high prices, then this place is for you.
Sadly, we will start looking for another place. We had a good run.

It's the worst place in the world to go.
Taxi drivers are paid with food to attract tourism and cross the other side of the island to an ugly, rock-filled beach with a lousy restaurant. After waiting for the service for an hour, only with a bottle of water we became desperate and wanted to leave. The waiter asked us $3 and a half for the water. We gave him three dollars and two quarters to pay the half dollar and he told us he didn't accept coins or return exchange.
He beat us up by throwing the coins we gave him.
For safety stay away from that place.

Visited on a cruise New Year’s Eve day. We have been here before and never have we seen such outrageous prices (100 us for one fish and 6.50 per beer). In the past we have found this place to be a great place with reasonable prices but this particular day we were told since the cruise ships were in prices jumped. News flash: we went there to avoid the cruise crowds and prices of other stops. Will never patronize this place again but will enjoy adjoining beaches with some good food from punta Moreno which is just down the road! Super disappointed.

We had such a great time here on Wednesday that we decided to go back on Tuesday…it was a ripoff the second time. Prices were great for food and drinks on Wednesday. We were able to use a credit card to pay and the bathrooms were clean…Tuesday the entire bathroom area smelled so foul and nasty that you could hardly walk near it, we were told we could not use a credit card at all cash only and the prices were more than double. We rememberers that on Wednesday that we were given an actual ticket but on Tuesday the young fellow wrote it on a napkin…I think he was cheating us and the establishment….we paid the higher amount and chalked it up to a dishonest waiter. They need to keep better tabs on the wait staff. People will figure it out and quit going over there. It is a taxi ride from the main strip. We also saw a few people carrying this glass beer bottles and glass drink cups I got the water the second time. UNSAFE! There could be a serious accident if someone cuts their foot on broken glass in the sand. I cannot believe that the same place could be so different less than a week apart.

The places is very nice and the beach is beautiful. And that's about all. Food is bad too oiling taste is awful. Nothing was good over there.
We ate fish on the grill too fat taste was very bad. We ate guacamole not one of the best we ate.
We also ordered chicken tacos, not good as well.
Now the problem is that the price was double that anywhere else.
If you want to arrive, just go to swim and maybe take a beer

Don’t go here. My friend and I stopped here as we were exploring the island. We ordered a Grey Goose, margarita, and guacamole. My friend said to cut the sweetness from her margarita. She tasted it, and it tasted like something you would get in the states…sugary. She asked them to correct it by adding tequila…something. The waiter put some on his hand, tasted it, and said it was fine. Refused to make it right! Guacamole was just mashed up avocados. $53!! Exchange rate was 15 to 1, whereas it is 18 to 1 on most of the island. Beautiful scenery, but a ripoff. Go to Senor Iguanas or Mezcalito’s for better food and beverages.

Fabulously scenic! Saw a spotted Morley eel and many fish in a fairly shallow area. I felt safe because there was a rock barrier which blunted the beach/shallow area from the bigger waves where people went out surfing. Restaurant nearby, an umbrella for shade would be a plus. Saw an amazing brown pelican diving for fish:) No charge and beautiful! After 2 weeks this our fav!!

I was a bit hesitant to visit based on the reviews but someone else in our group wanted to go. I'm so glad we did. We had a GREAT day with a beautiful view and good food and drinks. We never felt pressured by the staff to move from our table. (They weren't very busy so it wasn't like we were keeping someone else from using it)

Its a beautiful spot and location, but they need to realize no one will come back when they price gauge so much. the prices are insane. enjoy the beach but unless you dont care about money, eat in town. much better choices and authentic food.

Great food on a nice beach. Excellent service and there is snorkeling for intermediate/ good swimmers right there. Little kids can swim too but only limited snorkeling for beginners.
The food and drinks are top notch to boot!

Among the less touristy beach restaurants, super beautiful water and also the good restaurant, for goodness sake with a sea like this (it doesn't take much)
Great spot, it takes a while to get there by scooter but it's worth it, be wary of the photos, they are correct, I took them with another mobile phone but the place is really worth it.
