Great beach with calm little sand bar. Good spot for families with small children. Lots of food vendors and other restaurant venues to chose from.

I thought the food would have been better... nice place but would try somewhere else next time. The atmosphere was very nice, and so were the employees.
We had such a great time here on Wednesday that we decided to go back on Tuesday…it was a ripoff the second time. Prices were great for food and drinks on Wednesday. We were able to use a credit card to pay and the bathrooms...were clean…Tuesday the entire bathroom area smelled so foul and nasty that you could hardly walk near it, we were told we could not use a credit card at all cash only and the prices were more than double. We rememberers that on Wednesday that we were given an actual ticket but on Tuesday the young fellow wrote it on a napkin…I think he was cheating us and the establishment….we paid the higher amount and chalked it up to a dishonest waiter. They need to keep better tabs on the wait staff. People will figure it out and quit going over there. It is a taxi ride from the main strip. We also saw a few people carrying this glass beer bottles and glass drink cups I got the water the second time. UNSAFE! There could be a serious accident if someone cuts their foot on broken glass in the sand. I cannot believe that the same place could be so different less than a week apart.More
We love to come here and have lunch with the local vibe. Live music is available usually, massages, hair weaving, play in the water if you want.
Every time we visit Cozumel this is our lunch spot the food here is amazing tasty fresh and good price
We were on a cruise and rented a car from the cruise port. This is a great spot if you're looking to just chill. Chair rentals available for $25 and a restaurant on site. Great beach day!
I was a bit hesitant to visit based on the reviews but someone else in our group wanted to go. I'm so glad we did. We had a GREAT day with a beautiful view and good food and drinks. We never felt pressured by the...staff to move from our table. (They weren't very busy so it wasn't like we were keeping someone else from using it) Very relaxing and enjoyable.More
As soon as you step on the sand they jump on you so that you consume, and if you are foreign, you pay a grotesque price. 200Mx pesos for two ignoble, bitter, impossible to drink fresh coconuts. Of course they don’t care when you get...up and leave two minutes after getting your drinks, Cozumel way with foreigners, you are just walking ATM’s Completely stupid because we were looking for a quiet place to come back and spend an afternoon in the days to come. They got 200and won’t get anymore. The beach is nice, so we'll be back with our own drinks and food. But do not give them your money, stay away from this place ran by crooks!More
Such a great place to spend the afternoon. Order lunch and drinks and snorkel and swim. There’s a natural breakwater here so it’s almost always calm. Showers for rinsing off. Snorkel gear rental was $15 I think. Place is CASH ONLY so be prepared Menu...runs from French fries, guacamole, ceviches and shrimp cocktail to whole fried fish and parriadas meant for 4-6 people to share. Lots of fun!More
A place with a beautiful view by the sea, good service, good prices. The whole family was pleased with the food
We liked it paid more to have beach chairs but this was better than being on the north side today. Drinks were a little more expensive than el pescadaro but it was nice.
Its a beautiful spot and location, but they need to realize no one will come back when they price gauge so much. the prices are insane. enjoy the beach but unless you dont care about money, eat in town. much better choices and authentic food.
We have been visiting Chen Rio for many years and were thrilled to have the place almost to ourselves this trip. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed a nice lunch. We split 2 entries and had 3 drinks. The bill was $75 US and...they only take cash. That was the first punch. The second punch came later that night when all of us woke up with the Mexican Flu. We had to cancel our dives the next day. I summary, visit Chen Rio for the view but not the food.More
It was July 2020, the world was at a strange impasse. American passports had lost nearly all credibility and value. Somehow, our wonderful continental cousins to the south, Mexico, still welcomed us with open arms. We came on a day trip to Cozumel, rented a...jeep, and drove to this side of the island to eat at a restaurant next door that was actually closed, so we ended up here. Boy did we luck out. We were the only patrons when we were there, and they were very prepared, had masks and hand sanitizer and temperature checks. Service was incredible and the LOBSTER OH MY LORD THE LOBSTER!!! generous portion, fresh, just caught that morning, great garlic sauce to go with it. We will come back.More
Our tour guide recommended this restaurant after our San Gervacio archeological tour. Our group was hungry and hot after walking around the ruins in the hot sun. We stepped into this restaurant on the beach and immediately was able to relax. We ordered the fresh...fried red snapper which came with rice and tortillas. This was the best way to relax on the beach and have a delicious lunch with a cold one in our hands and feet buried in the sand.More
