We dive 2 to 3 times a year in Cozumel and always eat at La Candela at least once or twice each trip. You'll find a lot of locals eating here as it's authentic Mexican style cooking, very flavorful and fresh and the service is great a well. Lunch this trip was delicious as always. Topped it off with mamey... More

My wife and I have eaten breakfast and lunch and La Candela each day of our latest Cozumel visit. Regardless of the time or the meal ordered, the food has been delicious and the service is superb. Be sure to check the specials on the board outside the restaurant. It has gotten to the point that we don't care what... More

Being diagonally across from our hotel we had a few meals here. The first was from their menu. Good, filling and fairly priced. FYI the sauces they put on the table with chips are HOT and HOTTER. Loved the gentleman who served us so came back the following day with 6 Wahoo steaks from one we'd just caught. They cooked... More

Went with friends for their Saturday special of Cuban Pork. Very taste and served with mixed vegetables, spaghetti or rice. One of our party had a stuffed baked potato, which was more than one person could eat. They are also noted for their breakfasts.

We discovered La Candela by both a recommendation and a walk by. It is only a block and a half from Corpus Christi church. It will be our go to from now on. They have a daily special for 70 pesos that is a lot of food and it was very tasty. Their sauces were outstanding with a poco de... More

We had fish tacos here. Located on a side street off the main drag in Cozumel. It was ok. Not better then any place I have at home in USA. In fact disappointing. It was good to be in a local place but fish tacos were subpar. Friendly and clean. Service was good. And the price was very good cheap

We ate here a couple of times and had great food!! Will be a place we'll return to next visit . Prices were very reasonable. Good service, selection and quantity. Too bad it isn't open during supper hours. Highly recommend it!! One block east of the Main Street.

A small group visited here and enjoyed a great meal. Service was great and food was delicious. A bit off the beaten path but this worked for us. Looking forward to our return visit.
