We were told by a local that Perlita’s has the best fish on Cozumel, and I can honestly say that this lovely little place is a true gem that should not be missed. I can only speak to the Lionfish offerings which I was eager...More

We were absolutely delighted with la Perlita. Super friendly family run unpretentious but charming place. Had a local feel although clearly on the tourist circuit despite being off the main drag. Worth a taxi ride rather than walk for most. We had fresh red snapper...More

Had a wonderful meal for lunch, I chose the garlic sauteed lion fish with rice and perfectly cooked vegetables. Also ordered a very tender octopus cocktail and would definitely order again. My husband ordered the grouper stuffed with prawns topped with a light spinach sauce,...More

Typical local sea food resto! Love the ambient, friendly staff and great food! Will be back for sure; worth the $$$, even not an expensive restaurant!

We’ve been a number of times, always looking for some fresh lion fish and the past two times they didn’t have it. This time though they did and I was so glad we came back! I had the lion fish brochettes and my friend had...More

We asked the bartender at our resort for a locals place that serves fresh fish. La Perlita, "they are fisherman". Say no more, we were on our way, Hubby had the red snapper and I went for the lion fish. Both were excellent!! Cold beer...More

I heard they served Lion Fish. I had never tried it so was excited to go. It was fantastic. The staff were helpful and friendly. I suggest you use a cab to get there. It's outside the main tourist area.

This was by far our best meal we had during our 5 day visit to the island this past week! The place was not crowded with tourists and felt more like a "local hidden gem" rather than a popular tourist spot, even when we knew...More

I visited La Perlita for the first time this past week, while on a cruise. I was headed to the East Side, and I have always wanted to visit, but it's a bit of a trek when only in town for several hours. It happened...More

Mark, Sorry, I don't know if the restaurant is dog friendly. But my guess is they might be. As you know, dogs are everywhere in San Miguel! Since you are local, give them a call. (987) 869-8343
