This is on the other side of the island where there is no power so they get leniency for prices a bit on the higher side. While it's not the cleanest place...we weren't expecting a resort bar. The beer was cold and the tacos were pretty tasty. It would be nice to the see the bartender more friendly...tourists are his... More

We spent the day at Mezcalitos and had a wonderful time relaxing. The beach is nice but not meant for swimming. The current is rough, lot's of rocks and rough waves. However, it was so cool with the breeze from the ocean that you never felt like you had to take a dip in the water. We parked ourselves in... More

When we cruise, we always look for a stop in Cozumel. And, when we go to Cozumel, this is the ONLY place we go. We grab a cab from the port ($20) and arrange a return cab ($20). You can drive but why risk it after a few beers. The Chips and Salsa are fantastic. They have shown us how... More

Had to stop in to see what all the hype was about and was pleasantly surprised. Mezcalitos is quite unassuming and has a charming spirit about it. The margaritas were served in little 'clay pots' but were powerful, yet delicious. There are hammocks in which I rested my weary bones for about an hour, while watching the surf pound the... More

We love to stop here when we rent a jeep to drive around the island. Our first stop is always Mezcalitos. They have excellent ceviche, guacamole and drinks. Beautiful view, fun to write your name somewhere and take fun pictures. Definitely stop to check this place out. It's the very first stop when you come across the island from the... More

We love to go to the last frontier, we head out there by jeep or taxi every year when in Cozumel. The beach is great for finding seaglass while slurping a piña colada. Mezcalitos shrimp, the best item on the menu, have been eating it for years. Bring cash, there is no power on the wild side, buy a shirt... More

Whenever we're in Cozumel on a cruise we ALWAYS stop in at Mezcalitos! The food is great, the drinks are cold and the view is stunning! It's not too hard to have a beer and fall asleep in the hammock as the waves pound the rocks and the breeze cools you down. It's worth the trip and the drive back... More

Mezcalitos is our favorite place to stop when driving around the island! Love, love the margaritas in the mugs. Food is very good....usually get fish or shrimp tacos and very reasonable prices. Then time to relax in a shaded hammock or a rustic beach chair with another margarita. Truly our "happy place" the stress just slides off. Always great to... More

Rent a dune buggy, rent a scooter, take a taxi or ride a wild pig! Whatever you need to do, get over to the east coast and visit Mezcalitos. Best shrimp tacos in the world

We go to Mezcalitos every time we go to Cozumel. The first time we went here, it was mostly by accident, just driving around in our Jeep. We got drinks and swear the pina coladas can't be beat as they chop the coconuts right in front of you. The last time we went we ended up eating here too. The... More
