This is a really nice authentic place. Prices are great and quality is very high. We always stop off here whenever we are in Cozumel.

One of our taxi drivers recommended this restaurant to us. I am glad she did. My wife had the chicken fajitas and I had the fish and shrimp fajitas. Both were served hot with fresh tortillas and chips. Everything was delicious... The dessert at the next table looked really good, but we were to full to give it a try.... More

Not far from the main street you find La Choza. The service there is great and the food is excellent. As you sit at the table, they bring "totopos" (fried pieces of corn tortilla) and a wonderful dipping sauce made by the restaurant. Spicy and tasty. It is not so hot that your taste buds are inoperable for hours after... More

We decided we had enough ship food and went back to La Choza. It was recommended by a local the last time we were in Cozumel. One again they did not disappoint. We were in time for breakfast or lunch and we each had some of both. The margaritas are outstanding. (if you read my other reviews you will find... More

La Choza was so great! Friendly servers, authentic food. The queso dip was a highlight! My kids were crazy for it also, not too spicy, but definitely a kick. Mole poblano is good, fajitas were good, chicken enchilada plate was great for the younger ones, which came with beans and guacamole. My kids are picky eaters and they ate it... More

My husband and I recently visited cozumel and ate here based on good reviews we read on yelp. We really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. I recommend this place if you want authentic Mexican food. I will definitely return to this place next time we visit cozumel.

Yes, this is the place that all other Mexican cuisines measured against, in my opinion of-course. First, you have to find it.... Map it after you get off the cruise ship, not on the main touristy trap area ... But, yet not too far walking, and it is safe. I suggest to order something you tried before outside Mexico and... Good Mexican fare. Everyone was happy except the ceviche has a little different taste...not too fresh. The mole seemed a little thin also. All the other dishes were good. Very friendly and goood staff.

We\ve eaten at La Choza for about 20 years. The fajitas are the absolute BEST! I've never found pork fajitas in the US. Ask for a lot of anchiote. They have a hidden talent of deep frying a whole snapper. The snapper is moist and grease free. We were excited this time as one reason we always returned was for... More
