About
We are a small family business that started in the early '70s, serving the highest quality and freshest seafood possible. Since then, we have become a well-known restaurant on the island with many loyal customers visiting. In our restaurant, we try to keep the island's atmosphere to make you truly feel on a Mexican island in the Caribbean, with a setting perfect for romantic occasions or the whole family. Nevertheless, every day we do our best to offer the best possible experience to our customers, constantly trying to improve in every way. Sincerely, your host, Enrique.

The food was excellent we order spaghetti with shrimp which was very good, serving is perfect for two people. We had lobster tails as well, we selected our own tail based on size, the lobsters were cooked perfectly and come with vegetables and butter. Dinning...takes place in a nice low light environment.More

We are guests at the Westin for one night and were very happy to have found this restaurant across the street. There were minimal options at the hotel and we were tired from the sun so wanted something easy. This place was so great and...had the best shrimp, grouper and our favorite lobster! Everything was fresh and the seafood so sweet and tasty. It was better than anything we’ve had in other places on this trip in Holbox or Playa del Carmen. The atmosphere is nostalgic, service friendly and we would recommend to anyone visiting the island. They also have some of the best key lime pie for dessert from the key lime factory next door. Salud!More

Great little place out by the airport north of downtown. Great drinks and lobster. Big servings and fair prices. It’s outside so bring your own bug spray

Beautiful place and lovely garden in the back. Picking fresh lobster tails to be grilled was fun and tasty. Everyone in our group was extremely satisfied.

My family went to get burgers and were “flagged down” into The Lobster House. While the meal was a bit pricey trying to feed our group but the staff was very accommodating. We ordered a couple lobsters and they made a “platter” for the table...to share. They brought bread and side plates of rice and veggies for all six of us. We had drinks also. The staff made sure we had anything we wanted quickly. The real fun was the great atmosphere of the place. We sat outside and had geese by the deck. My kids thought that was a real treat. We were serenaded by a mariachi band. Our waiter was very attentive and after dinner brought us banana liquor on the house to end our evening. While it was a “light” meal it was certainly a great experience for our family and a true memory. Glad we stopped.More

After someone recommended to us, we walked the mile from our hotel for dinner. We popped into Fernandos Jrs but didn’t want to splurge on their only option -- pick your live lobster dinner. We moved on to the Lobster House, which like Fernandos, very...few people were dining so the atmosphere was lacking. We enjoyed the bread basket & reviewed their standard menu, which is about 12 items and it’s always the same. Ironically we only saw two menu items with lobster...a lobster kabob and surf & turf. They turned on some floor fans but it was still very very warm. We ordered the steak, which was kind of tough and the Catalina fish special (snapper stuffed with shrimp). The fish is a very large portion and I ate less than half and took the rest. Overall it seemed like a very touristy place on a very quiet and very warm night.More

We haver had dinner at Lobster House each year for decades and it just gets better. Our group of 14 walked in to a welcoming, happy and incredible place week before last and the staff did not miss a beat. Lobster is as good as...always, the service is exceptional and gracious and the setting continues to be casual intimacy. We tried Albertos a few days later and it has just lost grip on what it was once - for the best lobster, Lobster House is the one and only.More

Loved this restaurant. The lobster was delicious, conch soup was creamy/yummy and I can't recommend the key lime pie enough!! Make sure you choose this restaurant and not the one on the right (Fernando's). The main difference is this one actually has a menu of...more than just lobster and they take credit cards.More

Like the other positive reviews, we will also add our contribution. The service was excellent and the lobster tails were cooked to perfection. We visited the restaurant twice during the last week of our stay in Cozumel. The first visit, although we both selected the...lobster by weight which meant selecting your tail, unfortunately, there was only 1 tail remaining when it was our turn to select the fresh tails. They did provide a smaller fresh tail as a replacement but unfortunately, one of the smaller tails was grainy in texture, unlike the fresh tails. The second visit, we went earlier to ensure we could select our fresh tails but unfortunately that day they had not received any larger tails from the fishermen so we were given 3 smaller tails split between the two of us. The tails were fresh but were not displayed for selection and weighing. Would have been good if they had mentioned this upon arrival and also ask how much lobster we wanted as we were given a set size despite selecting to pay for the lobster by weight. This being said, we ranked the preparation of the tails as one of the top 3 places we have had rock lobster tails. Without the grainy tail on the first visit, it would have ranked number 1. And like everyone else, the key lime pie is a must. We bought a second to take home with us on our latter visit. Although my wife did not realise the big pie was a full-sized pie. The teens had a field day with the pie we brought back to the resort. We will definitely return the next time we are in Cozumel. PS, the atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing.More

Our decision to visit this restaurant was based on raving reviews from other people in our hotel who, like us, had found it necessary to escape the low quality food of our all-inclusive resort. While we weren't as impressed as many others seemed to have...been, we certainly did find it to be an overall good meal. The first thing we noticed (and loved!) was the enchanting atmosphere. The dimmed lights and sea-themed decor made for a very pleasant and intimate setting. We also love the history of the restaurant - it's been around for 30 years! The food was good - we had the shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp, surf and turf, shrimp pasta, and key lime pie (which I highly recommend) - and the drinks were good too (we had margaritas). The prices weren't cheap, but they also weren't overly expensive for the type and quality of what was served. Our server was very attentive, and all the staff seemed great. While the restaurant did have fans running, the restaurant was still a little too warm for our liking, so it was difficult to relax at points, and the chairs we sat on seemed to have been recently painted, so we all walked away with paint stuck to us (which was a bit annoying, but unintentional on their part, I'm sure). Overall, I would recommend the Lobster House as a great option to anyone traveling in Cozumel!More
