While in Cozumel diving (Diving with Martin) and on my own I seek places with excellent food, good ambience, and appropriate prices. On the advice of a couple at a nearby table, I tried their "sexy shrimp" that are filled with cheese and wrapped with bacon served with rice, beans, and fresh veggies. An outstanding choice to be followed by... More

We got a complimentary Margarita We ordered the guacamole, "sopa de lima" (traditional soup from Yucatan), "mixed ceviche" (fish, shrimp, octopus) and "carne tampique&a" (not from the region, but needed the meat). Everything... More

After 32 years eating here, it is still one of our favorite restaurants! The Tacos de Chocinita are fantastic! This is another must try restaurants! Meal for two with drinks only $15.00! They have a small courtyard in the back! Also a good people watching place!

Enjoyed this casual restaurant during a recent trip to Cozumel with my daughter. Very friendly service, authentic Mexican food. Fried plantain that we could not stop eating. So good we ate there twice during our stay in Cozumel.

Why do I come back to this little place time after time: The people who work here; hard working, friendly, kind hearted who care about your brief time in their restaurant. This is the oldest place on the square, serving authentic Mayan cuisine and great margaritas. The dishes are simply the best; if you are a typical tourist, keep walking.... More
