Amazing Tacos! Outstanding service and fairly priced. I had the chicken tacos and my wife had the fish (mahi mahi) taco both were amazing! Will definitely return!

All the great reviews here are spot on! Our family came here last night and we were not disappointed. We started with queso and guacamole appetizers. The queso had chorizo in it and was one of the best quesos I’ve ever had….and I’ve had a...lot of queso in my life. My wife and I shared the chile rellanos and mole enchiladas platter. It was so so good. It was a sad moment when I got to that last bite. Our kids got beef tacos and burritos and said they were great. The owner was very kind and made our experience memorable. Don’t miss out on this place!More

Lovely place! Just off the water, so you can see a snippet of sunset as you eat dinner. The food is as close to homemade Mexican food as you can get. We ate chicken tacos and Mahi Mahi. Spicy Cilantro Margaritas were delicious and huge....Efficient, friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Macho (I think?), their well-behaved, friendly dog is a nice, homey addition. Will definitely come back here!More

After hearing so many good stuff about the restaurant I decided to est there. Only to be disappointed. Food was ok but first I wanted for so long for the water to see me although I was in his sight, and to approach. He probably...wouldnt have even seen me if he hadnt had other guests across a table from me. Second of all when the good finally arrived, instead of letting guests enjoy the food in peace, he approached me and the other table so many times asking Csn I offer you something else. But was very quick to charge. I didnt have this type of experience in México ever before and for sure I am not coming back here. And all this is coming from someone who is in the hospitality industry for decades.More

Just off the ocean, Colores y Sabores is a great and authentic find. We shared a plate that included chicken enchiladas with the absolute BEST mole we have ever had! Friendly, local owner who takes a great deal of pride in her food and business.

This was one of our favorite restaurants we ate at during our 8 days in Cozumel. Everything we ordered was top notch and the care put into each plate was apparent. Plus, my kids loved the owner’s dog Lucho… he was taking care of them...the entire meal. Wonderful experience!More

Colores y sabores was the single greatest restaurant of our weeklong trip in Mexico and possibly of our lives. We attribute much of the exceptional experience to the owner extraordinaire Regina (and her adorable dog Lucho). The night started with her personally running out in...her car to get avocados for our guacamole when the restaurant had run low. She rushed back with the avocados to make the superb guacamole but not before she greeted us with the kindness and warmth of family. She told us that she gets joy out of cooking each meal like they are for loved ones and it showed. Throughout the meal, each dish felt like it was made with love. Starting with the queso fundido and homemade warm tortillas we knew that we were in for the ride of a lifetime. The warmth and richness of the queso was perfectly balanced by the frozen, creamy drinks (the margaritas and pina coladas were as delicious as they were generous portions). When asked how they tasted so incredible Regina lit up and proudly shared her recipe that included fresh fruit and years of perfecting. She similarly shared the dedication that went into perfecting her homemade corn tortillas, a process to which she attributes a 20 kg weight gain. When the main course came we weren’t even hungry. We had filled our stomachs with delicious apps and drinks. However, seeing the beautiful presentation, and smelling the irresistable dishes we couldn’t help but finish every last bite. The shrimp fajitas were a sizzling plate of deliciousness, perfectly spiced and balanced with the most delicate, fresh corn tortillas. The Baja shrimp tacos were out of this world with a thin, crispy exterior and moist fresh interior (not to mention they were larger than any others on the island). The Centro de Mexico dish allowed us to try countless options each of which was more delicious than the next. In fact, as we were sharing this dish it became a race to the finish so that each of us could as many bites as possible. After unbuttoning our pants we even ordered another round of drinks and dessert. Expressing our true sadness that our trip was coming to an end and so we would not be able to return for another meal, Regina expressed that if we could make it for breakfast she would give us a ride to the airport herself. Lamenting that we won’t be able to find food anywhere near this same quality in the states we wished that we could fly her out but she wisely notes that the freshness of the ingredients on this island are part of the secret to her success. Not wishing to make her compromise quality, we instead are already planning our return trip to cozumel to return to this fine establishment.More

Muy delicioso! The lime soup was so satisfying and the aguachile de camaron was simply amazing. Fresh, spicy, and beautifully presented. Would go back in a heartbeat! Plus the owner and her adorable dog were so friendly and inviting.

The food has always been good at Colores y Sabores and the staff very pleasant. We also enjoyed the low volume live music on several evenings.

We really felt like we had been invited to dinner when we ate here, the owner is so welcoming. The guacamole was made to order, chips were fresh, super good. I ordered the Baja shrimp tacos and oh my goodness, they were the BEST I...have ever had. My husband ordered a Chile relleno and it was so delicate and delicious. The food took a minute as it was all being cooked to order and definitely worth the wait. If you are in Cozumel and want fresh, delicious “home made” food stop by this restaurant, you will be glad you did.More

Amazing food at reasonable prices by any standard. A small, cozy place, tucked close to the water and attractions. We had Adrian as our waiter and he was the height of the service arts. Regina is a charming, vibrant hostess and the owner of this...rather popular and good tasting experience. She is in the photo below playing along with my request for her to be the spokesmodel.More

This place is right off the main drag. Stopped by for lunch and some day drinking. Margaritas are good and strong. Way better deal than at the places on the water. We had steak and chicken tacos. Authentic Mexican food and real steak in the...tacos. Adrian was an excellent bartender. I will go back when back in Cozumel.More

We were drawn in by the great outdoor live music and nice atmosphere. The owner and staff were kind and professional. The food was amazing - I had the catch of the day and it was great. I highly recommend this jewel that is slightly...off the beaten path. Worth the visit! We will definitely go back the next time we are in town.More

4.5 stars. Great food and friendly staff and owner. We ordered the guac (fresh tasting, good portion, served with fried tortilla chips), fried chicken tacos (good, looked more like a taquito, came with lots of fresh lettuce, guac, and tomatoes) and Chile relleno (very fresh...with tons of cheese…took awhile coming out, so the waiter thoughtfully brought us some more chips and dip gratis). We also ordered drinks. The alcoholic one came with a nice punch of the good stuff and the other drinks were made fresh with no extra sugar. Dessert was churros. It was four pieces and kinda grainy in texture. It was fine. Half a star off for the wait time. We were the only guests. Also bring cash, bc the credit processing took awhile (was given a heads up). Def grateful for all the reviewers who talked up this place. Everything was made fresh. We even saw the groceries coming in. Nothing from Sysco here. It’s a wonderful place; easily walkable from the cruise terminal (for smaller vessels. For larger ships, take a taxi from Porto Maya. Expect $8usd one way). We were very pleased with our experience.More
