I had a whole grilled snapper. It was nicely cooked with crispy skin. The atmosphere is delightful as it fronts the ocean with sea spray in the air. Waiters are attentive without being overly in your face. Paid by credit card and wasn't tricked into paying a tip I didn't want to pay ( unlike chili's and marinero's ). There... More

Insane lobster tacos, high end tequila for sipping afterwards, wait staff was exceptionally attentive, crab tostados also over the top, best food we had in Cancun

We met some friends that live in Cancun there - not sure I would have bothered otherwise. If you go: the oysters Roosevelt are wonderful. The fried daily catch was good. Wasn't really impressed with anything else. I usually write better reviews, but frankly the best part of this dinner was seeing our friends.

My husband and I went to this restaurant on Isla Mujeres and in Cancun. It's pushed a lot at the resorts because they offer a (small) free drink. The food portions are small for the price and the service was not impressive. The view from the Cancun restaurant would have been wonderful if the windows weren't fogged so much right... More

First of all, I remember Mocambo before the hurricane, it used to be a more modern, nicer place. I guess few years ago they took this new facility next door which seems a little bit dated, it looks old and bathrooms even though are clean need some remodeling. Having said that, I want to focus on the food and service,... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel reception and it never dissapointed. The ambiance was quite lovely and its location right on the beach made it even better. The food was quite delicious and reasonably priced.

Nice ambience but the food was not all that great. The lobster bisque and taco was blah. The skirt steak was flavorless and the tuna carnitas was very salty. The basil martini was very good.

We had Macambo coconut (lobster with mango curry and spaghetti) and carribean coconut (shrimps, lobster, scallops). The lobsters were dry and hard. The scallops were a little bit like rubber, the mango curry was way too sweet. You can definitely find better food for this high price (31 USD for a lobster meal). But the location and the atmosphere are... More

We visited during a very slow time in the restaurant (there were perhaps 10% of the tables with customers). Nevertheless, it took forever to get our order taken, to receive our food, etc. The food itself was extremely disappointing and a lot of it was about the same quality you could find in a can on the cheap aisle at... We are not usually lobster lovers, generally preferring crab, but this place was soooo good! We had bacon wrapped lobster steak...yes a huge steak made entirely of lobster, with 3 cheese sauce on top...WRAPPED IN BACON ...OUTSTANDING. Great view right in the beach. Very good!!
