Don't miss this place. Fresh, authentic, Mexican seafood. Pick your seafood, and let them know how you want it prepared. Good service. Great prices. Great view.

My fiancé and I spent two weeks in Cancun while waiting to travel back home and we were walking distance from Mar-Bella. It's not easy to find if you don't know where to look and it took us a bit to realize that it's actually...above the convenience store, you have to access it via a staircase in the back of the store itself. Overlooking the beach, Mar-Bella offers picturesque views and fantastic service. We ate there nearly every single day over the course of our two weeks. We shared dishes, tried new ones, and had an amazing experience overall. The passionfruit margaritas are to die for, as are the mojitos. The service is fantastic and all of the staff was very friendly and accommodating despite our limited Spanish. I tried the tuna tacos on our last meal and my only regret was not trying them sooner! They were so delicious, the tuna was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We also tried something similar to empanadas but I'm not 100% certain what they're actually called. Again, regretted not trying them sooner. The coconut shrimp is to die for, as is the octopus and the house ceviche. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection, even the sauces were paired perfectly to complement the dish they were offered with. I told my fiancé that if I could only eat at one place for the rest of my life I would happily pick Mar-Bella, no questions about it. Don't skip out on this place, you'd be missing a real gem.More
First thing to know is Mar-Bella Rawbar & Grill is open. Second thing to know is oysters for a reasonable price in Cancun are hard to find. So when we were in Cancun and my wife wanted oysters our concierge suggested Mar-Bella Rawbar & Grill...as one of the few places to get oysters in the Cancun area. Mar-Bella is a non-turistica place at a reasonable price and this hit-the-mark. The reviews of Mar-Bella are spot on. The oysters are great. The fish even better. We shared a 900 gram grouper grilled with garlic butter. We chose the pasta to accompany it. It was wonderful (and this is from a non-fish eater). I had the passion fruit margarita on the rocks and ordered a second one because it was outstanding. Oh and the three salsas they served with the chips were the best we’ve had!More
Yummy ceviche! Had the grilled sea bass. Yum! Amazing service. The price is by the kilo. It was 1100 pesos for the 2 of us.
This is the closest thing in Cancun to a “hidden” restaurant. It was so hard to find because the map marker on Google Maps and Waze were incorrect. To make it more difficult to find, there is no sign whatsoever on the street side. You...enter a mini-mart whose only sign outside is for Tecate beer and in small letters below the beer sign is written “Mar-Bella Mini Mart”. In the back of the store is a spiral staircase which takes you to the second floor where their fish market is located. When you pass through the fish market, ta-da! you’re in the restaurant. And it’s a beautiful restaurant! They have chandeliers made of seashells and a grass thatch roof. The view is incomparable—the tables all look out on the beautiful turquoise Caribbean Sea. The waitstaff are very attentive and you don’t have to wait to get their attention. The seafood couldn’t be fresher, as the fishermen are unloading their boats right in front of the restaurant. They have just about anything you’d expect to find in a seafood restaurant including local items and imported ones (such as Alaskan king crab and New Zealand crayfish). We had a couple of beers and a few appetizers. Besides great Mexican beers, they have imported beers from Belgium and France. I just wish I was hungrier when we came because there were so many that I wanted to try. Everything we did try was excellent. The prices are lower than you’d pay in the Hotel Zone or on Isla Mujeres, without a doubt. I highly recommend that you dine here if you’re in Cancun—it’ll be a fun adventure and you’ll get some great photos.More

We would have never found this place on our own. Good friends invited us to meet here for lunch. Walk in through a mini mart then take stairs in back to great restaurant with great view of the bay. Great seafood, drinks and service. Discovered...a new drink called caipirinha maracuya! Very good 👍. If you're in Cancun you should truly try to make it here. We will be returningMore

We had lunch here at the start of our three week holiday on the Yucatan Peninsula. The ceviche was the best we tasted anywhere. Great Margaritas and Caipirinhas. The location is fabulous. So we decided to have dinner here on our way back to Cancun...Airport. Returning can often be a mistake but not this time. The ceviche was still fantastic (we had mixed shrimp and scallop both times) and the grilled Robala (Snook) was also delicious, all washed down with a bottle of Alvarinho.More

This restaurant is about 1 block from the main square in Puerto Moreles. Right on the water. Seating is on 3 levels with all levels facing the water and the beach but I would recommend the lowest level as the view to the beach and...water is unobstructed. The fish and seafood is priced per kg or per piece and is as fresh as you could hope for. Try the snapper if it is on the menu or the jumbo shrimp. Each shrimp is about 50 grams and they can prepare it one of four ways.More

Being a pisces, I love seafood. Based on the reviews, I went to this restaurant to try out some lobster, octopus, oyster and mojito. The view of lagoon was great. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Basically, you pick the meat you want to eat...and instruct the cook to prepare the meal the way you wish. For two persons, the bill came to about $95 USD (with 10% tip included). After I paid the bill, I realised that Lobster is just a hype created by the people worldwide. I ordered a lobster weighing about 1.3 kilograms and quantity of meat inside would be barely 400 grams or so. I wish I had ordered only Octopus at this restaurant. At 700 pesos per kilogram, it is a bargain. There is hardly any shell to throw away. You get to consume the whole quantity of food you order, and they cook it in the most delicious manner. If I had it my own way, I would just eat Octopus (Pulpo) at this restaurant. Service was pretty good. I lost my credit card while having lunch. Fortunately, it was returned by someone to the restaurant manager and I got it back without suffering any loss. Would love to come back here again.More

I recommend this place if you are in the mood for fresh seafood, this place is different beacuse there´s no menu, there´s a big board where you can see the price for fish and sea food, they sell by kilogram so you can order different...dishes, just ask your waiter for the most wanted, in resume food has a very good taste. the view to the see adds a special touch , be ready for. Take care of your head MEN when you go to the bathroom is a little low at the exit.More
I was recently in Cancun and a friend of mine (who is Mexican and lives and works in Cancun) suggested we go here. He said it was sort of a store front building that looked like nothing. You needed to walk through a mexican food...grocery store to the back and go up a spiral staircase. When we got there it was entirely true. However, once you reached the second floor there was a very large deck with tables overlooking the lagoon and a view of hotel zone area across the lagoon, The service was excellent - very attentive and knowledgeable. There was all fresh seaview displaced in a large iced counter. The variety was quite varied. I had told my friend that I wanted Grilled octopus however the rest of the items I would use his judgement. He ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and also two soft tacos; one filled with tuna tartar mixed with a sauce and the other a local fish. I can say that everything tasted excellent. We went late afternoon and the restaurant was filled. We did not wait look for our food and I felt the prices for the quality we were given was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I am definitely going back when I go to Cancun again in a few months.More
Came to the Mar-Bella in Puerto Morelos. It's new there but its a fantastic restaurant, wonderful atmosphere and view of the beach and ocean, Khristian our waiter was fantastic and all of the employees there were super friendly and treated us with great hospitality, I...had crispy fish and it was so amazing, I can't wait to go back when I return. One of my top first choice places to eat there.More
The place is a hidden treasure! The entrance is not nice, but when you finally are in the terrace you will change your mind. We ordered a ceviche and a tiradito, both are really good, the taste was very nice and we were very happy...about the seafood's fresheness!!!More
