Wow, huge variety of products. They have 2 floors. First one is the usual supermarket, the second you find a food court, bakery, ice cream, churros etc!

To correct the previous review, there are several Chedraui stores in Cancun. My review is on the Chedraui Selecto in the Hotel Zone. There is a wide range of Mexican & American type food selections. The store seems very clean and well stocked. The only...exception is, they will advertise a product of a certain flavour or size at a clearance price. I believe they do this because it may be getting close to the expiry date. When they do this however, they will remove the other size product or flavours so that you have to buy “this one or nothing”. I recently experienced that with Nutella. They had only huge jars on the shelf at a sales price. All the small jars (that I was looking for) were put away. When I went Back a few days late, they have put the small jars back on the shelf and only a few large jars were left. Also, some of the price tickets on the shelf are not the price that rings up at the till so be aware.More

There are 2 Chedrauis in Cancun. 1 in the town center and the other in Puerto Morelos area. The town center is well served with fruit and vegetables as well as fresh sea food. They also sell Tequilas ( big variety), cigars and they have...restaurants and coffee shops.More

I LOVE shopping here. The second floor is a traditional shopping mart with consumer goods as well as pharmacy items. Third floor is magical with a well supplied liquor and wine selection. They have full service bakery with MANY choices, seafood, coffee shop, frozen foods...section, meats and cheese, and a food kiosk. If you're staying in a condo, stock up here first!More

Usually I visit Chedraui Selecto in person, but about a month ago I tried their online services which allows you to pick up your order or have it delivered for about $8 USD. This is great if you do not know how to use the...bus in Cancun, or have a long term stay at an non all inclusive resort. My favorite items are the triple chocolate muffins and their fresh cherries. I would highly recommend their bakery, but be cautious on overnight deliveries because the bread can go bad. All-in-all though pricey, great selection of all natural and organic foods. Their meats also often lack antibiotics, hormones or steroids. Especially, the Pilgrim's brand of chicken products. You can also purchase a new souvenir Chedraui mesh bag for very cheap in person.More

The choice for groceries is this Selecto or Walmart. This Selecto is in the hotel zone so we picked it. The Walmart is further into the city of Cancun. We took a taxi to and from here. 220 pesos each way from Royal Sands hotel....(Ie: $11 USD) The good is that they have a great variety of groceries at a good price. Several workers speak English, but not many. When I ordered food from the restaurant it was difficult to understand my choices of flavors because the cashier did not speak English. And yes, they do have a travel agent at the exit ask for your receipt and he tries to sell you an excursion. Just avoid that. There are taxis at the exit and the security guard will call for a taxi for you. Not sure if I would return or try Walmart. If I spoke a little Spanish then I would definitely return....More

A gloriously-upscale, new-looking supermarket in the heart of the Cancun tourist zone. Downstairs is a pretty standard Chedraui, but some things seem missing...until you get upstairs. The good stuff is up there. There's an ELABORATE pastry section, a large food court with unexpected offerings like...conveyor-belt sushi, a top-shelf liquor selection, and even a vegan/health-food section. The downsides for which I knock off a star: * It's more expensive than Chedraui in the city proper * The dedicated gated parking isn't free, and if you lose your ticket they'll charge a substantial fee rather than going with the time on your receipt like most places would. * The tequila/mezcal selection is more limited than the superstores in the city proper, and they have sales staff whose job is to upsell those liquors, which is annoying when you're trying to browse. Overall-- it's a nice spot to pick up supplies & drinks for much cheaper, do some grocery shopping, or have a light meal. If you're not used to traveling abroad, this is a nice transition to doing something "off resort", and saves a ton of money versus hotel stores. Go forth and explore!More

Dumb-me forgot to wear sun screen and because of light travel could not bring with me various toiletries (you know where this is going). When I went to the Hotel store, prices were astronomical so I went to this supermarket to buy what I needed:...Vinegar for muy sunburn, toothpaste and others. Don't forget to visit the "travel section" where you can find 100 ml bottles or travel toiletries at a great price.More

This is a beautiful store and they have everything you could ever need. It’s very clean, and well organized. Don’t miss the upstairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine, and dine in the cafe.

So, we went to WalMart on our first day in Cancun. It was a mistake. Chedraui was much closer, took our temperatures, and let us all in instead of making my children wait outside with my husband. The store is fantastic and price wise, was...just as reasonable as, if not more so than, WalMart. We LOVED the bakery and all of the produce we purchased there was fantastic. There is a great liquor and wine selection, a walk-in humidor, sushi and salad bar, ceviche bar, pizza and torta stations and coffee shop. There is a wonderful deli, and large meat and fish selection. We were even able to pick up tee shirts for $3-6 USD. We went shopping here five times during our 2 week stay. The only things that differ from this place and a select grocer in the US is that the milk is not sold in gallons, but pints, and the eggs are not refrigerated. They have everything you need. If you are bothered by people trying to sell you things, just cross the street past the taxi pick up and no one will ask you to buy anything. Inside, there are people who want to look at your receipt to offer you discounts on tours. You can either shut them down or just keep walking if you aren't interested. There are quite a few good restaurants around too. Either bus route will take you here from anywhere in the hotel zone. My family highly suggests that you come here for any grocery needs.More
