Went to the downtown location years ago. The food here is just as great, and the setting is devine on the lagoon side of the island. Mayan show 3 nights a week is a must see. Great food and a great show, can't beat that.

Just got back from 1st time visit. Dinner with wife and friend. If you want food like back home, go to Outback Steak House. I always eat/drink the local cuisine/beverage -escargo, Peruvian Alpaca steak/tequila,etc. Following is MY experience My experience: Enthusiastic welcome/goodbye from Arturo. Ditto Head Personal Waiter Victor and his 2 assistants. Attentive service at just the right level... More

Even though we knew the original Habichuela was a better choice to dine , we chose Habichuela Sunset because it was in the hotel zone and had a great show while we were dining . The food and service was great !

Came here from a trip advisor recommendation. It didn't disappoint. Service staff was awesome, very attentive. We were the first ones to arrive for dinner at 7pm. Party of 6, 2 kids well taken care of. They spilt an adult dinner for the 2 kids which was nice. Sat outside and the weather was great. They had a live band... More

We have been going to La Habicuela for 30 years. We went to their new hotel zone location Sunset. We had a wonderful meal followed by an authentic Mayan show. A must try while in Cancún.

We ate here for dinner on a Wednesday. We were unaware that they charge for the Mayan show and nobody mentioned it when we were seated. The show was alright but we could not see it because the seating is blocked by trees. The food was average at best. I ordered the ginger shrimp. It was served in a cream... More

We got a babysitter and headed out to have a romantic dinner. It was between La Distileria and La Habichuela. We chose La Habichuela and were so glad we did! We got there early, and sat on the top level. It was a Friday night but we had no intention of staying for the Mayan show. The food was so... More

We stopped by for a late lunch and we had the place to ourselves. The service was excellent and so was the food! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went on a Wednesday since they had a free Mayan show. the food was excellent, I had the Grouper which had 2 sauces on the plate and a vegetable - the best fish I ever tasted. If you stay at the Westin Lagunamar, ask for the free Mayan coffee - it's great! Would go back again several times if... More

Description
La Habichuela Sunset
Surpasses your expectations.
Welcome: A unforgettable sunset awaits you.
They say its a museum turned into a restaurant. Aside from its bold and modern arquitechture, the ambiance is based on the mayan culture with the intent of giving our customers a unique experience surrounded by masks of ancient kings, a 9 meter mayan column from floor to ceiling and a 30 meter hand carved kukulkan wooden snake. Our open garden area next to the lagoon allows you to dine with the stars and the moon.
But our biggest pride being our exquisite dishes, from traditional yucatecan recipes to sophisticated caribbean/mexican fusions. We have a vast variety of international wines as well as national.
We follow and maintain our founders philosophy of providing prompt and detailed service since 1977.
Dont miss our mayan rituals shows during the week that will transport you in time to the ancient mayan civilization.
