We sat outside and during dinner they perform an Aztec show. Was very entertaining. Place is huge. Next time I'd eat indoors.

If you want to sit outside, eat good food (that is inexpensive!) in an easy-going atmosphere then this is the spot for you! We went here ore than one time when we were in Cancun. We were a group of 8 friends/family and there was something tasty that suited each person!

La Habichuela and it's employees are to be commended for providing an unforgettable dining experience. We felt like family and tasted sauces and dishes never before experienced, all very tasty! We sat inside and the ac was cool, my sons girlfriend was getting a little chilly after awhile and one of the waiters noticed, before we knew it and without... More

I wanted to eat local Yucatan cuisine and was told this was the best place for local dishes although they also serve more traditional Mexicsn food. This place has great food but it is not cheap. For Mexico it is expensive. For two I paid over USD$60 which is very high for a local. There were two of us and... More

La Habichuela Sunset is an amazing restaurant! Certainly one of the best in the area that isn't a chain like Del Frisco's or Ruth's Chris. Try the Bananas Foster for dessert! Great presentation and definitely enough for 2 people for only $12. Very nice/pleasant staff.

The service was very good, almost too much. We had a least 6 servers waiting our table. One for water, one for bread, one the entree, one for wine, etc. You almost couldn't enjoy the atmosphere or your dining partner because of all the interruptions. The restaurant is beautiful, great atmosphere. The food is overrated.

First, the air conditioning works well, which is always welcome in Cancún. My friend and I were seated at a great table facing the window (we arrived early) and immediately got two margaritas that were delicious. Atmosphere: Nice looking restaurant that works for romantic dinners to a group of friends. Good acoustics made it easy to have a conversation. The... More

We celebrated our anniversary dinner. Top notch place. The food was fabulous and it was very inexpensive. Jose was our waiter. The service was some of the best we have had this week. Our table was right on the water. Perfect with the beautiful sunset. To top it all off, they had a Mayan Show for entertainment. Absolutely great choice... More

I had the nicest waiters with the most delicious food. I was dining alone so they added little things like a mini sorbet and extra attentive service. The Mayan decor was kitchy but interesting and the view over the bay spectacular. The menu was abundant in choices for all courses. Fish-excellent. Mayan coffee-divine.

Excellent restaurant! The view is perfect, the food is great and the service is outstanding. If you're looking for something nice and calm to have a romantic date or just dinner with friends, this is the right place. Live music was also very good.

Description
La Habichuela Sunset
Surpasses your expectations.
Welcome: A unforgettable sunset awaits you.
They say its a museum turned into a restaurant. Aside from its bold and modern arquitechture, the ambiance is based on the mayan culture with the intent of giving our customers a unique experience surrounded by masks of ancient kings, a 9 meter mayan column from floor to ceiling and a 30 meter hand carved kukulkan wooden snake. Our open garden area next to the lagoon allows you to dine with the stars and the moon.
But our biggest pride being our exquisite dishes, from traditional yucatecan recipes to sophisticated caribbean/mexican fusions. We have a vast variety of international wines as well as national.
We follow and maintain our founders philosophy of providing prompt and detailed service since 1977.
Dont miss our mayan rituals shows during the week that will transport you in time to the ancient mayan civilization.
