Fancied something a bit different whilst in Cancun so sought this place out. It's situated in the middle of a mall but the ambience and set up makes it feel like you could be anywhere. It was actually the quietest moment we'd had in Cancun after nearly a week of being here! The menu offered great not so usual Indian... More

Located inside the La Isla Mall in Cancun, by the lagoon offers one of the finest Indian food outside India. During our 7-day stay in Cancun in October 2016, we went to Elefanta for dinner twice. The Veggie Punjabi Samosas, the Dal Makhani, the Dum Aloo Vanarasi, the Chicken Malai Tikka, the Veggie Biryani, and the Naan breads were outstanding.... More

Indian cuisine in Mexico? Yes! I was a little skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Very helpful, friendly, and efficient staff on Saturday night. Less busy season so got a table right away. Prices were comparable to Chicago Indian restaurants. Motif and uniforms added to the ambiance and many tables right beside the lagoon would be romantic if you want it to... More

Upon discovering that there was an Indian restaurant across the road from our hotel we just had to investigate. I'm glad we did. Once the menu came out I asked what dishes were suitable for me / could be adapted (vegan diet) and a few moments later he came back with the options. That's always very much appreciated. We had... We visited this restaurant twice during our 14 nights in Cancun. The food was great on both occasions, I had 'spicy' lamb dish that wasn't too spicy at all but the flavour was fantastic and also the chicken tikka starter which very tasty. The restaurant is set right on the lagoon and is very quiet and peaceful which was perfect... More

If looking for ethnic food, Elefanta is the best in the area. The authentic Indian cuisine and service is second to none. The setting on the water at sunset is spectacular. Dishes are prepared spicy enough for great flavor but not too hot for tourists :-)

This restaurant was the perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of La Isla! My husband and I ordered an appetizer and two entres thinking we would have left overs to take home, and we could not stop eating! It was so good! To add to the meal, the service and restaurant layout makes you feel like... More

We ate here twice during our 14 night visit to Cancun. You can chose to sit next to the water which is very romantic (moskito spray is provided by waiter) they also have large round booths for groups. Excellent food and service! Expect to pay around 2500 peso (£114) for 2 course meal with drinks which I think is very... More

Inspired on the culture, architecture and mainly on the Indian gastronomy, Elefanta restaurant was created. Bringing a bit of the magic and misticism of this place, in fusion with a modern city, the Elefanta Indian Cuisine concept was originated. With the service of our chef, Basant Kumar and other indian borned members of this team, we offer an exotic culinary delight, in a very authentic and special place. The restaurant has two tandoor ovens, typical from India, that brings to your palate the unique and exquisite flavors from our kitchen.
