We have been around for a bit and dined at places ranging from roadside diners in various corners of the world to three Michelin stars. “Puerto Santo” truly made our Cancun visit special and we dined there almost every day of our stay. The menu...is rich and varied: you can eat there for days and find a new taste and a different preparation each day. We enjoyed raw oysters, fresh salads, whole baked fish fresh off the boat (you get to pick it off the ice counter), squid, crustaceans, soups, guacamole made fresh for every order at a dedicated station, all done just right, soused and spiced just right and served always at the right time with a smile and a true appreciation for the customers and an appreciation of fine food shown by servers and all the way up to the team of five owner-managers always there and always helpful. The tequila and mescal bar is second to none as you might expect given the location. Speaking of the location, it is a charming, large, well maintained, and sparkling clean beach shack. Ask for a front row water-side table and you can take off your shoes and curl your toes on a fine, white sand of the beach. Ask for a table further back, and you can probably show up in a dinner jacket. Local crowd celebrates birthdays or just a girl’s night out or a family or a business dinner. The tourists come from all corners of the world. The local fishermen boats are moored or beached right in front of you. The place is inside of a gated community of condo buildings nearby the ferries of Puerto Juarez. The paved road ends and you drive for 100 meters on a beach-dirt road. Do not give up at the gate, just tell them where you are going, and do not get confused by the dirt road. The whole place is brilliant.More

I wanted a restaurant on the beach and found this gem on google. Simply one of the best and fresh seafood restaurants around the ferries to Isla Mujeres. Its a must try because the mixed ceviche was one of my favorites. The seared pulpo was...by far the best dish that I have had. You can get up and take a stroll on the beach after you finish eating to enjoy the views. The staff was excellent and very nice thank you Puerto Santo for your hospitality.More

We were told this restaurant gets fish straight from the fishermen, and we sure got the benefit of that. We arrived just as another customer had ordered the last grouper. We knew lobster was hit or miss around Cancun this year, and Puerto Santo had...no lobster "at this moment, but a fishing boat is arriving soon." Our waiter, Jorge steered us correctly all night long,so we had drinks and appetizers. The boat arrived, and the catch of the day included lobster tail, grouper and red snapper! We had the lobster cooked de la casa (creamy sauce, mushroom sauce, white wine), crab fried tacos, guacamole with pork rinds and margaritas for four. We visited 7 August 2021 in the early evening and the restaurant was about 2/3 full and a storm was approaching. During dinner the rains came pouring down, the restaurant moved outdoor tables under the palapa, dropped rain shields and did not miss a beat. Literally, the DJ picked up the tempo and patrons started dancing in the sand. A lightning strike knocked out power for a few moments, but it did not stop the festivities. A very fun evening. Our hotel is in the lower half of the hotel zone and we took a cab. There were not cabs waiting at the restaurant, so the restaurant called for a taxi after our meal, took about 10 minutes for one to arrive.More

We went there for a quick lunch on the 4th of August and we were absolutely amazed by the food and the staff. Horracio and a sweet girl who gave us an excellent recommendation (unfortunately we can't remember her name and we are sorry for...that...) took care of us while we were there and made the experience just memorable. We really enjoyed chatting with them and you could tell they liked people and the restaurant. Keep them ;) The food was fresh, tasty and felt authentic. If you are in Cancun, go there and enjoy the food, the service and the amazing view on the water. You can also see Isla Mujeres in the distance. If/when we come back to Cancun, we will definitely come back to this restaurant <3More

Very nice place to eat. I gave 4 stars for the reason that evening there was no lobster available, but the rest was very good. Good service. I will go back to taste the pizza and lobster.

We stayed in a condo near Puerto Santo for three weeks and ate there too many times to count. The food is fresh, locally caught, and cooked to perfection. The staff is warm and friendly - always making the experience fun. From live music, impromptu...tequila tastings, and salsa lessons on the beach - this restaurant is a MUST if you are going to Cancun. Raul, Roberto, Cesar, Alex, Pablo, Stanley, and Memo are now all friends for life! Can't wait to come back soon!More
