We ate here during our stay at the JW. We had a nice meal and good Thai. If you are staying at the hotel I think it is a good place to eat but other restaurants in town have a better atmosphere. In defense of...the restaurant the night we walked over and made reservations the place was hopping. The night we went it was just pretty dead. Will try again on next visit.More

We were there for 10 days and we had breakfast included at this restaurant. The food way amazing! Everything was super delicious but what made the experience complete was the service. Christian the chef and his staff and the waiters, Jose, Efren, Luis, to name...a few were so so nice! Always so attentive of our needs, and so friendly and personable! Really made the experience complete, it’s the people that we interact with that make us want to come back! If we would’ve had a bitter experience we’d second guess it but since that was not the case we’ll definitely be coming back and a huge reason is because if the amazing staff!More

I’m always in question when a hotel tries for cuisine that is not your normal fare. So why not try Sasi Thai. This review is during Covid and not b.c.-before Covid so perhaps it’s different then. They need a lot more staff, after my food...was brought to me I had to ask for utensils to eat it. That should not happen, but when you are short staffed it does and will. The food is meh, I had a beef dish that was tough and greasy. The coconut soup is spicy so not much of the coconut can do to overcome that tingling. The spring rolls were very good, but the side sauces were overly salty. Perhaps to compensate for the lacking intensity of the flavors you want in a spring roll. No Mexican restaurants in either Marriott which is strange and no seafood specialties which is also unique for a hotel on the beach in the Gulf of Mexico. Others have mentioned the food short comings, perhaps too many good places within walking distance is why the Marriott has never upped their game? Interesting experience while on vacation trying to explore the food choices, however this might be a been there done that for me at Sasi Thai.More

I was highly skeptical of this place. The atmosphere was very nice. You sat outside but protected by straw hut like structures. We ordered the chicken saute, green curry with chicken, and yellow curry but substituted the tofu for chicken. I was pleasantly surprised with...my order of yellow curry. I like my curries on the thicker side and that's how it came. It also came with the side of rice when usually at restaurants you would have to order it so that was nice. I've been to Thailand places including Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and Phuket so in my opinion the taste of the yellow curry and the green curry were not far off in flavor and consistency. The chicken satay was good but the chicken should be a little bit more charred and I think that would give it a more authentic flavor profile. This is not a bad place to spend one of your nights having dinner.More

The food is good, but it is really fun getting to eat in the Polynesian-style "huts" that are in the open weather. We really enjoyed the pad thai and the other noodle dishes and our server was excellent. The service here is really great.

Awful Thai food!! This cannot even be called Thai, it’s rather someone who has never been to Thailand or had authentic Thai food trying to cook a very poor imitation of some sort of Asian food. Nothing about this place was good. Sat outside overlooking...hotel parking lot. I had the rice dish with chicken which had no flavor. Rice was mushy and wet. Big portion of tasteless slop. No taste at all. Missing any Thai components- no heat, acidity, different textures, freshness, etc. My friends got noodle dishes which were spaghetti with a very thick and sweet stir fry sauce that has to be straight from a jar. Really subpar, do not go here. This place has completely NO idea what authentic Thai food is. Skip this as it’s not worth eating let alone paying for.More
