We were a party of six. We requested and got an outside table overlooking the bay. Our waitstaff were very, very professional. We had a variety of "umbrella" drinks all of which were both delicious and delivered to the correct person. I had the passion fruit mojito and loved it. Five of us ordered Tikin Xic, Mayan-style fillet (of the... More

Our hotel recommended this place. It was included in our package. Wouldn't go back. Everything that was worth getting was an additional fee.

I highly recommend the Captain's Cove for an enjoyable and decompressing evening of fine dining. The meals were tasty and complimented by their selection of wines. You will be warmly greeted and seated in the roomy and comfortable dining area. This is a reasonably priced evening to be shared with family and friends.

The view was okay if you sat in the right place. The food was not up to my expectations. I would not return.

Recipie for a perfect dinner: Ask for Paco. Sit by the water. Fish Tacos appetizer. Captains Trio Shrimp. Yum! It was our anniversary so we went back to Cancun where we honeymooned. Captain's Cove was as delicious as ever. We ate there three times in five nights! Right on the lagoon so every sunset is spectacular. We get in and... More

Great service! Each table is given a melt in your mouth buttery seasoned roll to die for! Beautiful start of the meal with a Caesar Salad tossed at your table! Fried grouper was delicious! Save room for a Mayan coffee! The preparation presentation is one of the best in Cancun!

I really wasn't too impressed with the food. We just got back from Cancun on Sept. 10th and ate at the Captain's Cove on the 9th. I had snapper with caper sauce. The fish was pretty good but the mashed potatoes tasted like they were of the instant variety. I'm pretty good at picking out instant from real and would... More
