I couldn't wait to return to LaDestileria and to have a great margarita, listen to mariachi music and enjoy a good meal. The scoreboard was 1 for 3 We arrived about 5 minutes to 9 for a late dinner and the mariachi band leaves at 9. On a Saturday night???? The margarita arrived and it was delish! We had the... More

Honestly I thought this place was going to be a tourist trap. But some friends heard it was good. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the food very good but reasonably priced as well. I love that they serve FIDEO....and just like my grandma used to make it. We had 3 soups on our table and they were all... More

Excellent food, try the multi layered beans, cheese, meat, and cactus (machata) in a volcanic bowl. At least 50 varieties of tequila available for sampling.

My wife and I are on vacation with another couple and we eat here one evening. We had dinner outside on the patio and watched the sunset. We didn't have appetizers just entrees. We enjoyed a sizzling steak, chicken and steak tacos and shrimp fatijas. Everything was great. The service was attentive and we enjoyed the table side mariachi band.... More

This is a restaurant that has branches in mayor Mexican cities and that produces its own tequila. Its very quaint and has great outdoor seating with a great view of the lake and the city. Food is good not outstanding and prices are reasonable. A 15% service fee was lumped in my bill and when I questioned it it was... More

Loved the chips, salsa, and bean dip. There food was so fresh and delicious! A little pricy and the waiter wanted to just automatically charge me his tip of 15% on my credit card. But good one time experience.

Great place and food, Mariachi's are some of the best of heard, one guy was playing a harp, first we've seen that and he was fast and great. As the title says, the Margarita's are killer and strong, just the way we like them, give them a try.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The service was very good, but the food and the drinks were simply outstanding. We went with our two adult children, and all four of us came away raving about how good the food was. The molcajetes were the highlights - truly delicious, and the portion sizes were huge. We should have only... More

Again visited this restaurant while in Cancun. The food and service are excellent and the entertainment good. The atmosphere is good. We prefer El Mortero but this is a very good 2nd choice.
