I visited here once about 10 years ago, but this trip the resturant captivated me! In fact we are here 5 times in 2 days! There coffee (Lechero) is delicious and an event. They serve you a strong espresso then you sing your mug with a spoon and "milk guy" comes and pours you hot milk over your coffee. In... More

I had two memorable meals here with my colleagues. The service was fast and attentive. The huge coffee machine in the center of the room is magnificent.

This café is really famous in Mexico with high quality coffee from Veracruz. I had a "lechero" (latte) with some good and cheap torta. The place seems always packed with nice ambience with a beautiful and historical deco. Liked it.

Yes, it is a popular place hence you might have to wait to get seated and it's not like this is the first restaurant who gives their customers this experience, so be patient and don't nag, it is understandable to have to wait a little. The food is tasty, portions are of good size, please try something different such as... More

Great coffee. Just that. It's real hard to get a table, it's grab the table you see, no order. Just tradition for the coffee, there's better places for food. Just go try the coffee and leave

We heard about the famous Lechero, so we decided to drop in and get one. We ordered, received our coffee in a large glass but no milk. After waiting for 10 minutes we got the idea they forgot us or we did something wrong. It was the last thing. A waiter helped us doing the trick: after you receive the... More

Best to avoid peak hours since you may have to wait for a table. I found the service to be excellent and the food to be pretty good. A Mexican friend of mine says this is the best restaurant in Mexico. My experience does not support that claim but very popular with the locals and an essential part of any... More

The milk coffee (Lechero) is the highlight of this Café but it lacks the atmosphere and resembles a coffee shop at a train station. It is a bit difficut to imagine in this sterile ambiente that all the Mexican presidents so far have had their meal at this place.
