Tierra y Cielo Restaurante is a rather splendid place. The food is of course Mexican with interesting local recipes. OK the English translations were far from accurate but hey, you are on holiday in a foreign place so enjoy the fun.

I truly recommend Tierra y Cielo Restaurante, very nice atmosphere, the food and the service was excelent. A place you have to go to taste the traditional food from Chiapas.

Great dining experience in this obviously ambitious restaurant that prioritizes regional recipes and ingredients. The nachos were the best we have ever had. The wines are served in the exclusive Riedel glasses. The menu is in Spanish and English with some inconsistencies in the translation.

The menu needs a proper translation into English-the waiter unable to help. The 3 Entrees (Appertisers) we ordered were pleasant without being outstanding. The fish in the taco ok but dry. The problem of choosing dishes very difficult. Many not available on the night and the translations didn't make sense. Eg, my partner ordered Beef Short Rib which normally needs... More

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at this Restaurant. The food was delicious and very unique with an exquisite taste! We have traveled to many different places in Mexico and this is by far one of the best foods we have tried for a Christmas dinner. We highly recommend you give it a try! You won't go wrong with this... More

We had a rather mixed experience for dinner here during our stay in early November 2016. The soups we found to be delicious and interesting. My fiance's cut of beef, however, was a disaster. She ordered it "medium," and it seemed like it took forever to arrive at the table. Once it arrived, however, it was clearly raw inside when... More

The bread/dips were terrible, the fish was dry, the vino average, and then there's the pan flute renditions of Robbie Williams "Angels", directly followed by Titanic flashback, "My heart will go on", coming over the P/A. If i wanted to eat in a shopping mall, I'd go there. All senses assaulted. Go to LUM or Brasa for better value for... More

The service was fairly quick, which was a surprise because other reviewers complained about it. The only slow service was in getting someone to attend to us once we were done eating. The food was okay. I'm not sure if the English translation in menu was just off or what. I ordered the "beef stew." What I got was beef... More

Nice food. Nothing fancy. The service slow and not so good... They forgot some of our dishes. But the ones that made it to our table where quite tasty.

I was there with my wife for our honeymoon. After 4 days eating meat finally we wanted to try some healthy food. In this restaurant we definitely discovered the delicious taste of soups and salad. We recommend tierra y cielo
