San Cristobal is definitively a hotspot for foodies and Tierra Adentro is one of the many good restaurants there. Food is good and reasonable priced. I would recommend it.

Just according to the title. I liked their huaraches flans. The price was amazingly low, considering the food quality and the atmosphere. I went there twice during in town, which is rare. Interestingly, reviews are much less favorable in Yelp.

It's more like a cultural center than a restaurant, but it is nice, even though full of Zapatists reminds. With only 260 pesos we took one fajita each and a beer. There was also a Mexican band playing which made the dinner even more fun. The food is fair as also the place, here the reason why I rate this... More

My husband and I went here for lunch, and were shocked at the good reviews...but then the place was mostly gringos. The ambiance is casual, too casual, almost like a cafeteria. But worst of all was the food; we had a few tapas, chicken quesedillas (where was the cheese?) and meats....all were bland and boring. I think the tortillas were... More

Really enjoyed this place so much so that we visited each day we were here. Just got dinner once which was good and on the other occasions grabbed a coffee and much needed rest. Good spot to people watch and relax.

I think like a few of the other reviews I've read about this place, my main problem was the service. Our orders were taken straight away but the food and drinks took a long time to come. When they eventually brought my girlfriend's burger, they asked if we were missing anything. As I was sitting with nothing in front of... More

Wonderful gathering place with ambience, reliably good food, entertainment in the evening. Their breakfasts are the best.

This is a great restaurant, with an excellent selection & attentive service. The band set up just as we were finishing our meal. Delicious huaraches.

Interesting Mexican style family restaurant with interior shops and live music most evenings. Photographs on the walls and Zapatista murals fascinating. Charming staff, some waiters speak English which is helpful. Lots of Mexican customers but some European dishes available including pizza. Warning - large portions! Play area for children.

Description
Excellent, tasty Mexican food of many types, including authentic Chiapaneca food. This restaurant is run by Zapatistas and there are several tiendas around the eating area selling products from Zapatista villages. Free WiFi, very good music (both live and recorded,) nice ambiance. The NY Times says it has a fixed price meal for $30 --- WRONG!! You can eat well for $ 10 and nearly as well for $ 7.00 USD.
