Friendly staff await here in a nice dining area. This place offers lots of classic dishes and a good selection of mezcal.

We had a late lunch at Tobaziche during our Oaxaca city visit. We had checked them out on the internet and thought they had an interesting menu. We shared an empanada with cheese and squash blossoms, which was really good. We loved the Oaxacan cheese that many of the restaurants used. One thing that we noticed in several places other... I had just arrived in Oaxaca and Tobaziche was across the street from my hotel so thought I'd have dinner there since I was tired and hadn't had a chance to find my way around. I was traveling alone and arrived at the restaurant, which was practically empty (this was in June during the teachers' protest, very few tourists in... More

Love starting a meal with a complimentary taza of Mescal. The soups were very good. The entrees were hearty and flavorful. Simple food done very well in well designed space. And the staff couldn't have been more friendly.

We arrived when it was closing and then... We guaranteed a good tab if they reopened for us.. And then...magic happens and they got a Full house! Great casual food and bar just across the street from the Quinta real hotel.

The food was really good, they received us with a mezcal shot, really good price also. We paid about 500 pesos for both of us, which includes an entrée, main dish, two drinks, two beers and a dessert.

Starting with the complimentary house mezcal, move on the ribs or mole, both excellent. The chocolate banana-filled crepes make a nice finish.

During busy Semana Santa, we came upon this new and hip bar/restaurant and were absolutely delighted with the appetizers (I had pigs feet, very well prepared) and main dishes that were extremely well prepared. The place is friendly and lively, and manages to juggle a lively bar scene with small dishes and a very diverse clientele with ease.

It's an easygoing place, with a nice part upstairs including a small balcony for those who smoke. Very friendly service, nice good. Nothing really special, but good for a lunch. Great Mezcal cocktails!

We wanted just a "little something" to eat rather late after a large lunch. Tobaziche was just the right place. Before food, I had a complimentary house mescal (one of at least three on offer. I could have had more samples, but thought better of it.). Then a locally-made oatmeal stout that was very good. We ordered an empanada with... More
