We decided to try some of the recommended dishes and they didn't disappoint! The Enchilada de Coloradito (tortilla with chicken and mole sauce) was "to die for" and the tacos with shrimp melted in your mouth! The service was friendly, helpful and attentive. Our server, Ramon (I think) spoke English well but encouraged our attempts with espanol. Our table upstairs... More

We had lunch in the upstairs area. It was a nice space. I ordered the shrimp and cheese tacos and my husband the chicken mole. Both were delicious though my dish was a bit small. The cheese was good, not flavorless cheese-like substances that pass for cheese in most restaurants here in Oaxaca. The complimentary shot of Mescal was a... More

To start, service/staff was excellent, always fundamental to any review. The overall facilities created a relaxed but yet an upbeat atmosphere. The food was all five star delights -- ceviche, shrimp tacos, & quesillo fundino. And after two weeks in Mexico & many margaritas at many places -- best are found here (ignore any review that says the contrary) --... More

We stopped in here for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised to get free mezcals which were great. Food was fine, not really fancy, but good enough, and the service was good. I'd recommend it as a mezcal experience, not necessarily a place for fine dining!

There are many mezcalerias in Oaxaca and this one is just OK. They have a good mezcal selection but there are other places with more character and a better overall experience.

Got to live a place where upon arrival they pour you a mezcal. Fresh Mexican in a modern space. Enjoyed the shrimp tacos.

Four of us went here for Christmas Eve. We were all impressed with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. This is one of the few places where there were options for a vegetarian that used molé - and my calabacitas enchiladas with molé were fabulous! The servers were knowledgeable and friendly. We had a table upstairs by a window... More

This is a deservedly popular restaurant. The food was terrific, innovative, local, the mezcal collection was terrific. Atmosphere is awesome, it is a great place to hang, listen to music, and eat yummy food. The staff was exceptional, knew their food and drink, and even introduced us to some really great mezcal and beer. The chef/owner has made this a... More
