This place was reviewed as the best burger place in Oaxaca, and we second that. Our burgers were about 8 ounces each, with a great bun, cheese, avocado, tomato, onion. I loaded them all into a messy, juicy burger that was perfect. Came with roasted potatoes fresh and perfectly cooked.

Great hamburger! Excellent fish. Large portions. Nice people (who speak English!) and really comfortable. We even brought our own bottle of wine one evening. We came for lunch (comida) and for dinner. the location on the pedestrian street was nice also.

We had a nice dinner here in a party of 10. All dishes were excellent and as the are from Monterrey a bit if a break from the usual Oaxaca fair. We loved it.

We keep thinking we will branch out and try more restaurants, but we LOVE this restaurant and are often there for comida multiple days in a row! Delicious food, fresh, well-presented, generous portions, and very reasonably priced, all in a quiet and safe location. We also notice many other customers are regulars. Very good sign. We also really like the... More

I went to the restaurant on the day after their were protests in the area and not all of the vendors came to town. The waiter told us that only a few items were available because there were only a few items available in the city. We were given a beautiful fresh salad with a gentle but tangy dressing. I... More

We picked the day after a violent protest outside Oaxaca to visit this restaurant. Unfortunately, that meant that the normally teeming Oaxaca markets had a very limited supply of food. At first, the owner thought he might not be able to handle two more guests, but after checking with his brother who was cooking, he told us what could be... More

Every item of food was prepared perfectly, we savored every bite. The owner was really nice an attentive and kept bringing us little extras. You could tell how much they care about their food and customers. Our favorite reatuarant in Oaxaca.

My wife and I spent 11 days in Oaxaca City and found El Quinque at the midpoint of our trip. The first day we ate lunch after reading they had the best burgers in Oaxaca City. I was ready for a change of pace food wise at this point. Well, the burger was delicious, so we came back and ate... More

This family run restaurant was a scenic walk from our hotel. The host, Carlos, was Great. He welcomed us into the restaurant as if we were old friends. It was very hot but we quickly cooled down with a refreshing blended water of mango & ginger. We were quite impressed with the extensive and varied menu. We enjoyed two unique... More

We had such a wonderful experience last year, that we returned for dinner three times this year, and it is still wonderful. We have yet to make it early enough to try their comida corrida--they make a limited amount and sell out early, so you really need to get there at opening. However, this is not a real problem for...
