Excellent food and very attentive service; I like the staff very much, but due the concrete space (with no soft materials to absorb noise), it’s too noisy to eat without yelling. I’ve eaten there three times and it’s stressful for me.

Here we are confined to the house during the COVID-19 pandemic. Much to our delight we learned that El Quinque is offering delivery service. We ordered easily with WhatsApp - sent our location via google map. 30 minutes later the door bell rings and there...is our meal - all packaged nicely in recyclables. Tasted just as great as always. Thank you Estaban and the whole family operation for keeping open during a very difficult time. We'll be ordering again soon!More

We had been to this restaurant in its old location but managed to find it on Hidalgo, a few blocks east of the Zocalo. While the ambiance was very different and it had lost its small space intimacy, the lunchtime menu did not disappoint. I...choose a grilled shrimp dish, served with vegetables and rice. There were several big shrimps, maybe seven or eight, perfectly cooked, with a spicy sauce. My husband had grilled chicken with a barbecue sauce. The helpings were very generous and we had to walk off our lunch after leaving. Nice to see that the food has not lost its charm.More

Had lunch here today, and it was excellent! I had the Quinque Burger, which comes with cheese and bacon, and very tasty fries, which were actual pieces of potato, with skins, done to perfection. They also have Pacifico beer, which is hard to find in...Oaxaca. Highly recommended!More

We had read the positive reviews and El Quinquennial did not disappoint. We dined there two time is our four day stay. Once for lunch where we shared a burger. More than enough for two people. We had BBQ chicken for dinner, I loved it,...my husband, not so much. It was smothered in a hot bbq sauce which I thought was delicious. I would definitely go here again!!More
