This restaurant has a beautiful, great service and outstanding service. The mole here was really good. I give it my highest recommendation!

The night we dined here, the restaurant had set up a special table for a couple in the corner of the courtyard. There were flowers on the table and petals sprinkled around the floor. When the couple arrived, the man gave his partner presents and the champagne flowed. Then in walked a mariachi band to serenade his girlfriend. Classic! I... More

My wife and I ate dinner here one night during our stay in Oaxaca City. It was recommended by our guide to Monte Alban. He said it was his favorite restaurant. I had the three Mole chicken Enchiladas and they were pretty good. I preferred the dark chocolate mole of the three. Very smoky and delicious. However, the chicken could... More

Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes but we were underwhelmed with our late lunch at Las Quince Letras. We were not particularly impressed with the dining room, either, as it was rather hot and stuffy on the day we visited.

Las Quince Letras is the second restaurant that we tried during their Oaxaca Sabe,The Week of Restaurants 7-14 March 2016 celebrating the huge gastronomic variety in Oaxaca. Top restaurants in the city provide a three course meal from appetizer to dessert, accompanied with a glass of wine or beer for $250 MXN $14 USD. The entrance and front of this... More

Not too fancy but good local dishes at reasonable prices. Service was prompt and trilogy of moles was an interesting presentation.

We had 2 excellent meals here. Such a lovely setting in which to eat. Start with the mescal and let the waitstaff guide you for an excellent Oaxacan meal.

I read the reviews before going to this restaurant. It was of interest because it is close to where I am staying and one of the guests in the hotel recommended it. I enjoyed sitting in th courtyard on a balmy evening. The service was good. I ordered the trilogy of moles and the chocolate tamale. The moles were probably... More

This restaurant on Abasolo was recommended as a place to sample 7 types of mole on one plate, and yes that is correct! I had a nice dinner in a pleasant dining room with the combination plate (7 mole sauces served with chicken & rice), which was delicious. They also have artisan jewelry for sale.

The daily lunch special started with a delicious vegetable soup and would have been perfect if not for the strings left on the beans! No big deal as the next courses were lovely. Nice fresh field greens salad with homemade dressing followed by molé Amarillo tamales. Nicely spiced amarillo as it can be a bit blah sometimes. Baked apples for... More
