After a week of molé, tacos dorados, caldos, and assorted comidas corridas, I needed a good pizza. This is the place! Even if you don't want pizza, it's worth a visit just to see their oven.

First experience was on the rooftop and there were fireworks that night. Magical!! Pizza was quite good. Second visit was mid-day, downstairs looking out the big open windows. A mixed antipasto was very satisfying. My companion really liked her pasta. The wine was fine and not overpriced.

Not enough superlatives. This restaurant has the BEST of the BEST PIZZA I have every had. I was totally surprized...that I would be surprized. I highly recommend MEZZALUNA.

Good pizza, great ambiance. I went there for my birthday, it was a good start because I wanted something simple and it was.

The location, a stone throw from the magnificent Santo Domingo church is exquisite. Inside is a large pizza stone oven and the atmosphere is very typically Mexican. My wife and I shared a great veggie salad, followed by a vegetarian pizza for her and a Cappriciosa one for me, accompanied by a bottle of reasonably priced Emiliana merlot. Service and... More

Years ago this was a fine change of pace restaurant for us. I loved the texture of pizza crust from a wood fired oven. And, the pasta was pretty good. That's all changed. I'm not certain what has happened but the signs advertising for waiter, server, and cook are some kind of give away. We've tried the food a couple... More

I ate dinner twice at this restaurant while staying in Oaxaca City. It was conveniently located, spacious, and the staff were polite. An older woman traveling alone is not always served well, or feel welcome, in some restaurants, especially at dinner time. The food I had was good, and I thought it was as good as most of my meals... They use real cheese, so this is as close to an American style pizza you are going to get in Oaxaca, as opposed to imitation mozzarella that you will see most other places. Unfortunately due to the location and the use of quality products, the prices are higher than other pizzerias. I see some reviews about bad service but I've... More

Really enjoyed the pizza and salad here. Nice atmosphere, fair pricing. Menu had hood variety and it was fun to see them cook pizza in big traditional oven.

Sometimes I just want a pizza. There is plenty of great food in Oaxaca and this pizza and Italian restaurant is one of them.
