Every time I come to Oaxaca I try to have at least one meal in Casa Oaxaca, just to check its quality remains the same. Nevertheless each time my appreciation improves notably. This time I tried their green salad w/shrimps -wonderful- and a tasteful day catch w/lemon sauce & tomato marmalade, a sea bass technically fished and treated ikajime way.... More

This is what you think about Mexican gastronomy. Food, service and flavour are its main keystones. Its a must that you can't miss

This place has very good reviews but we were only partly happy. We booked a table on the roof terrace but it had been given away before we arrived (on time). In fairness to them, it was raining so they lost maybe half the space on the roof terrace (half covered/half not). But they gave us an apology cocktail &... More

I am a retired restaurant owner & so highly critical. This is a well polished resto with an excellent view of the square below from the upper terrace. The waiter made fresh salsa table side to my taste. My mojito was delicious & cold. I ordered crispy duck tacos and veal tongue in green mole. Both were a 10. I... More

This place has long been the best restaurant in Oaxaca, even though new contenders regularly pop up and younger chefs arrive in the city from elsewhere. The food is traditionally Oaxacan but with a luxury touch as well as offering international classics and some 'fusion' dishes on the menu. The service and location are unbeatable. Of course, none of this... More

Make the salsa in front of you. Also make the stone fish soup in front of you which was good to see. I had the fillet which was great tasting. Slightly expensive by Mexican standards but we'll priced for bits.

is in this world class restaurant. They bring you stuff even before you know you crave them. The food is creative and of very high quality. The food experience is one of the best we have had. The attention to detail is immense. Everything is good! Remember to order a lot of cocktails. Love the wine, that is down to... More

My husband is a chef by trade and always looking to be impressed everywhere we go. We loved the entire experience, from the time of the reservation to the last moment. The restaurant is private by reservation only, the dinning room is located around the patio of this beautiful hotel, the rooms are located all around. The place is very... More

What a great choice to end our visit to Oaxaca!!! Dinner under the stars with Santo Domingo Basilica as the view! The food is amazing at this restaurant. From the homemade salsa for the tortas that they prepare for you at the table to the "flor de calabazas con queso de cabra" to the rack of lamb and the guava... More

We booked a table for 6 on their terrace, overlooking the Oaxaca cobbled streets, such a perfect setting! Service was good, food was great, margaritas were well prepared. This is a perfect choice for a romantic dinner or just to treat yourself to a "fancy" evening - Oaxaca style. I found this to be the best restaurant in Oaxaca.
