This used to be one of my favorite places is Oaxaca. Specially for the great terrace in front of Santo Domingo temple. Food was really disappointing this time around. Large plates with lack of flavor, like the “esquites” lacking acidity. Other plates just overdone, trying...More

An excellent restauran with modern Oaxacan cousin. New ways of mixing local staples on very original ways. The duck was particularly good. Be sure to reserve a table at the terraza, beautifully views to Santo Domingo convent and the north hills.

Delightful. Beautiful setting and friendly staff. Sr. Duran was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The tableside salsa with blue corn chip is outstanding. The rabbit with yellow mole was excellent. Easily recommended. Will return.

Service was excellent. they prepared a lot of dishes in our table such as salsa and sopa de piedra. They also had a musician playing nice baladas.

Beautiful location nearby the Santo Domingo cathedral in a small and quiet square. Very nice and welcoming staff but unfortunately the food is not worth the price - probably fish cooked and drown in butter is not my cup of tea.

This question (re Christmas) was asked three months ago; I'm sure Susan G. and friend(s) have already come and gone, and would be irrelevant now anyway.
