Fantastic soups and salads, nice large restaurant so you never wait long to be seated. Perfect location. Good views of the zocalo and a relaxing change of pace from the more chaotic street-level restaurants in the same neighborhood. Recommend highly!

Outrageous high prices for basic local food, mediocre preparation and presentation. The food at the market is much better and much cheaper. Tourist trap that charges for the location. If Oaxaca food is what you want, there are a lot of cheaper, tastier restaurants without the view or the signed celebrity photos.

This restaurant was recommended by one of the desk staff at our hotel. We found the food to be very ordinary, despite ordering local cuisine. It was our first meal in Oaxaca and couldn't compare to the fabulous local cuisine we had in Puebla. Hopefully our next choice of restaurant will be better.

This is a great place to go once. It's on the second floor, and the tables at the window are wonderful. You look out over the zócalo and people-watch. It's a very nice environment, but I won't go there often. It's very expensive, so I go up, have dessert and a cup of coffee, people watch and move on. There... More

The view looking down to the zocalo is exceptional. At night you look out to the lit cathedral dome. The food and service are wonderful.

the view of the Zocalo was wonderful, but the meal was terrible. We ordered empanadas from the menu, but they gave us half cooked quesadillas. My tasajo was not grilled; it looked boiled!

This restaurant seems to be a standard on everyone’s visit to Oaxaca. The location can’t be beat. It’s right on the Zocala, or main square, with all its activity and entertainment. The atmosphere is nice as well. The menu has plenty of traditional dishes, but the food and preparation were somewhat average compared to other places we ate at in... More

I was there in January 2012 and loved the zocalo... the restaurant offers a great view and good vibe and I don't really remember what I ate/drank there - make of that what you will! I'd love to go back to Oaxaca and would pop in again...

It is truly a great location! But it has the "air" and the feeling of a restaurant that has been good in the past and now it is just old ... The service was great but the food was average and poorly presented. In a city with such culinary history and such high standards this restaurant needs to be improved... More
