Wonderful evening meal of Chicken mole (coloradito). Their margaritas were excellent. We had a table with lovely views of the cathedral at sunset-awesome. Service was friendly and efficient and the restaurant was uncrowded. Finding a place near the Zócalo with a lower noise level can...More

We enjoyed our late lunch here as we watched dancers and entertainment in the plaza below. The Chili Relleno with pork was very tasty---both tangy and sweet.

We wanted a place where we could get some breeze on a hot evening. Tried this restaurant which was upstairs overlooking the main square. We had a great view onto the live music below, and yes there was a nice breeze. We all enjoyed our...More

Mixed bag on the meal. I was not impressed by the tortilla soup - seemed like good old canned tomato soup with some tortilla strips and cheese/avo topping. My wife had the squash blossom torta which was very good with original flavors. Also had a...More

My first evening in Oaxaca during Day of the Dead, I wanted to try traditional mole--so I came here. The restaurant is on the corner of the Zocalo and the Cathedral Plaza, on the second floor. Boisterous does not describe the crowd outside--in both plazas!...More

This place has a nice view, that’s it. I wouldn’t recommend it for more than a cup of coffee . The food was mediocre, service was OK. The real challenge was splitting the bill in two. It took me 10-15 minutes to explain the cashier...More

Nicely appointed and welcoming, there is also a great view of the Zocalo. So we enjoyed very good traditional Mexican food and great music from down below. The service was also efficient. Try to get a window seat so you can have a great view...More

This is a great restaurant to view people at the Zocola square. I had 4 differnett kinds of mole. It was good. The other 3 in our party were not totally thrilled with their dishes.
