We stopped here for a quick lunch on our last day in Oaxaca, and I'm sad we didn't come here another time prior to this - very good food, with great service. If you're looking for a fantastic meal near the Zocalo, this is a great place to go.

We had a lovely table in the love resection of the restaurant and after that everything was downhill. My wife started with a cheese salad that was in edible and this was followed by a pasta with a zucchini blossom dressing which was left completely uneaten. Buy tacos with steak was very good but then when I ordered seared tuna... More

The large court yard and a rapidly falling evening made us hesitate to sit there. Perhaps rather in one of the large rooms? No problem: like Wimbledon, they can close the roof. The food was excellent, the starters as well as the main course (tuna and white fish). Service impeccable. The only complaint would be, that you cannot order the... More

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. It was filled with local families. There was an inexpensive buffet offering and a piano player offering Billy Joel, James Taylor, and Frank Sinatra. Teams of waiters provided attentive service. My entree was delicious - a pork fillet with pineapple, apple, and plantains. Lived up to its reputation as one of the... More

Lovely restaurant for fine dining with friends or perhaps a romantic evening with a special someone. All four of us chose the squash blossom pasta, (I'm sure it has a more elegant name) and salad. The salads were fresh, interesting and very tasty. Dinner was proceeded by a small appetizer of black mole on cracker. Delicious. The pasta sauce tasted... More

The food is all well-prepared. The building is elegant and traditional feeling- I love sitting in the courtyard on a sunny day- and at night. We had a ceviche of scallops with chile de agua that was particularly excellent. As a rule, I prefer to eat many small dishes rather than a main course- more fun, more flavors. Good drinks... More

This place is really excellent choice to try Oaxacan food. Arrived without reservation and still accomodated us without hesitation. The building has a classic style that makes it feel elegant, but is not pretentious. Had banana molotes that were delicious, mole negro (maybe a bit saltier but could be personal taste), sopa de guia and 1/4 tlayuda (with juicy tasajo)... More

We had a wonderful time in this restaurant's Christmas dinner, the dinner choices were great, including local specialties like slow cooked lechón. The service was good, although they were very busy that night. A string quartet playing Christmas carols was an excellent choice. Overall this is an excellent restaurant.
