Tourists, tables, Oaxacans hip and computer-eyed share the courtyard and the Alcala site, Mostly tourists at the site across from Santo Domingo Church. Nice bustle, noise, and drinks. Some cookies to dunk for me, too. For a pure espresso only feel I like Blason in Jalatlaco better. But this place is fun and the workers are great.

The best coffee in Oaxaca. Don't forget to try their fresh fruit muffins with raspberry's or other berry oozing out!

Didn't care for the coffee at my hotel so went looking for a coffee shop and had the good fortune to come across Cafe Brujula. Doesn't look like much from the street but once inside they have a pretty outdoor courtyard area with wifi and 1950's rock n roll tunes. Their cappuccinos were strong and made to my liking and... Our little family including a baby girl visited this nice cafe twice on the same day as the coffee is great and the atmosphere is good. Everyone seems to come here, eg students, families, and business people and you just feel welcome.

I was very excited to find delicious loose-leaf tea here and other tasty drink options as well as a good collection of cakes. Friendly service, a beautiful courtyard and free wifi. Very handy central location.

Coffee was the best I had in my 3 1/2 weeks in Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. Cafe and surroundings - very basic. Cakes and nibbles not fantastic. Its just about the coffee- I think it was the house blend.

I've never had bad coffee in Oaxaca. I love stopping in this and several coffee shops in this neighborhood. It's clean and the coffee is fresh. The workers are all friendly and the price is reasonable.

I ws in the mood for a light lunch and the turkey sandwhich here was perfect. The courtyard behind the small restaurant was a very peaceful place to have lunch. The bathroom was small but clean. I will go again.

We stopped by several times to grab a coffee and snack. We were always greeted with a smile and with good service. The place is clean and comfortable with wifi available. You can sit for as long as you like. Very convenient.
