Great restaurant. This is the sister restaurant for Contramar in Condensa and is more of an “old school” seafood/fish restaurant. Some great dishes, excellent service, great location. The grilled whole fish was fantastic.

I came across this place on yelp and when we arrived I didn't even know it was a sister restaurant of Contramar, in condesa. Same great menu, service and atmosphere. If not, even better. Love the upstairs dining setup with a view of the park...outside. I'd highly recommend the pulpo tostadas and the split filet as an entree (comes with 2 different sauces on each half of the filet). These will not disappoint. Drink recommendations, I'd recommend a traditional carajillo. Licor 43 and a shot of espresso shaken in a martini maker. It's such a traditional drink and a great desert since it's sweet. I'd love to put a note for our waiter, Jose Huicab. He did an amazing job with suggesting items to us and explaining in English.. if you're able to request him as your waiter, definitely do it. Thanks again Jose. If you're in Polanco and want to try the amazing dishes, same as contramar! This is the spot! I'll be back soonMore

The place is ok, really loud in my opinion and they do not respect social distancing nor cleaning protocols. On the other hand the food is good but worst part is the waiters demanding the tip... really disappointing. Few words: nothing extraordinary, find somewhere else...to eatMore

Entremar is a sister of the acclaimed Contramar restaurant. It has the same menu and prices. We started with an order octopus tostadas and had the Pescado a la talla, the house specialty whole grilled fish opened, home made sauce Contramar (half with red chilli...adobo rub and half with parsley rub). Finished off with a cheesecake flan. Best, and most expensive meal we had during an 8 day stay in Mexico City. Can't wait to go back.More

Entremar is a well-known seafood restaurant in the Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City. It has great service from the wait staff; we never were lacking anything. They (Roberto and Carlos) were very attentive. I had a clam chowder which was excellent and brought back wonderful...childhood memories. My main course was the Shrimp al tequila with rice and it was cooked to perfection. My companion and I shared two desserts; a scrumptious strawberry cream merengue and a delicious fig cheesecake. I also had an after-dinner carajillo which was one of the best ever. I had read in several reviews that that the noise level is high, and that is true. The upstairs dining area was loud due to bad acoustics and it was full , but that certainly did not distract us from an enjoyable meal. There were quite a few children also. It is best to make a reservation to avoid a long wait. I´m sure we will return again!More

Beautiful view of the park, good service, very fresh fish. It would be great if there were a few more offerings for non fish eaters. Make sure to get a table by the upstairs balcony.

This was our first trip to Mexico City. We looked forward to eating at Entremar. The food and service were very good, but nothing jumped out at us and said WOW! If anything was a surprisingly good, it was the house white wine - a...Chardonnay from northern Mexico.More

Went for lunch and the place was packed with business meetings. Specialized in fish with different mexican recipes and also “a la brasa”. Good service, good quality, but a little expensive. Even though there were manu waiters, we did have to wait a lot for...our orders.More

We mistakenly went for dinner. The restaurant closes at 9 so the last seating is at 730 which may be too early for a lot of diners. It was perfectly acceptable to us but others may prefer a late lunch instead. The restaurant specializes in...seafood from shellfish platters to grilled whole fish so you need to be a fish lover. The decor is white, the tables and chairs are wooden and the walls have some minimal adornments. Because there is nothing on the floors, it is a noisy place. However, the waiters are wonderful and the whole place has a very convivial air. We shared all our dishes and because we were four, we had a decent sampling which included sashimi tuna tostadas, el pastor fish tacos, green and watercress salads which were unremarkable, and a whole fish, made in Contramar style. (The owners also own another restaurant in Roma Norte called Contramar and this style of making the fish includes delicious green and red sauces over a simply grilled whole fish.) I found everything good or very good, except for the whole fish which was truly excellent. We also had two desserts, a deliciously rich chocolate cake and a fig cake which I did not taste but which my table mates raved about. All in all, a little bit noisy for my taste but if you can stand it, the restaurant has 5 star quality.More

We had the "famous" two sauce fish. Fish was fresh and it was nice, nothing more. It was served on its own, nothing to accompany it. We had pleasant starters and a nice half bottle of white wine. It was pleasant. Nothing more than that....I paid C$150 for two. Wildly expensive for what it was. On top of this, they have this weird booking rule that they want you to have dinner and be out before 8 pm (or maybe it was 7). We ran to get there on time (not having eaten all afternoon to make space for this early dinner...) and then found the place empty. We were back on the street 7:15. Totally weird and not very charming. You can do better than go here.More
