Stopped in here for a cold brew with milk. Really nice staff, great location in Roma Norte. Felt very hip!

It’s sort of a hole in the wall in trendy Roma Norte. It’s a place for coffee adventurers. Staff was very friendly. Coffee very good with nice round and creamy aftertaste.

If you want a coffee that goes with a pretentious attitude this might be your place. Otherwise Mexico City has plenty of other places with better coffee, a lot of methods and high quality of national coffee. I left this place with a bitter taste...in my mouth...And it was not only because of the coffee! I personally do not recommend it.More

I don’t like the coffee with high acidity. I don’t think that’s the way it should be done. A good coffee in general terms (because there are personal tastes involved) should be balanced. It should have acidity and bitterness, not just acidity (among others). Every...professional barista I have talked with agrees on that. In Mexico all the supposed good coffee shops offer high acidity coffees. I don’t know where they learn that that type of taste is good in a espresso.More

Not a place to hangout or have a bite. The coffee is fairly good, but there is literally nothing else. So you can come get your coffee to go. Staff not particularly into it, I think.

My latte tasted like hot milk with a hint of espresso - definitely not the best coffee of the trip. I would skip this place.

This is my new favorite coffee spot in Roma Norte. I always look for places with good coffee and where you can sit down to work for a couple of hours without getting to distracted with everything else going on. And this place is perfect!...The ones working there knows their coffee and make sure to give you good recommendations. The prices are also more reasonable than other coffee spots close by. Love the music and the minimalist decorations.More

Loved the warm interior here and the coffee was so good! Perfect everytime! Best hipster coffee place I found in Mexico City and I'm from Melbourne!

Like other reviewers I found the alma negra experience devalued by the baristas, who while undoubtedly knowing their coffee, did not enjoy serving their customers. Coffee was very good, but the place itself is meh. Very uncomfortable, ok for perching on a stool and staring...at a screen, but not for long!. It would help if the staff could practice smiling in the mirror. Why do they think themselves so superior? I mean its not Paris, where the waiters are renowned for their egos, its friendly Mexico City.....girls....wake up and be nice to your customers.More

It is the usual spot that you see it and you know they have a professionally made espresso. Nice decor, very nice spot, not to stay there because it doesn't have cozy chairs, just stools. That's why for staying around five minutes it's ok. The...espresso was good, not excellent. Too much acidity in my opinion, but it's good.More

We're from Melbourne so finding good coffee when we travel is critical. Almanegra lived up to expectation. Gorgeous designed store. Very comfortable to sitting in or for take away while walking around tree-lined Roma Norte. The barista is excellent and speaks English. We had cappuccinos...and macchiatos and all were just as we love them - strong and tasty. Highly recommend this coffee shop. We'll be back every morning we're in Mexico CityMore

These girls know their coffee! Such a great spot to grab a cold brew Don't forget to buy some beans to take with you. They print out an info card that tells you everything you need to know about that bean - region, producer, etc.
