We tried to reserve at 10am and in an ironic tone the receptionist told us that in that restaurant it would be impossible to find a table at 1:45pm. We arrived and it was empty. It doesn't matter if the food is fine or the restaurant is elegant if the people that work there are rude. A really annoying experience.

The best Peking duck, best martinis, best service and a very gracious welcome, can't get enough. When ever I am in Mexico City Hunan is the first restaurant I visit, can't get enough.

It's a beautiful restaurant with a very good Chinese food. The service is good and the atmosphere of the place is very warm.

Be careful - there is a difference between the 'Peking Duck' and the 'Smooked Duck'. The Smooked Duck is practically fried, so it doesn't matter if it was smooked or not, it comes badly biened; at the end it was a terrible experience for us. I cannot judge the place for one dish, but some of the dishes and that... More

Excellent Chinese. Both the Reforma and San Angel branches are of equal quality. Dishes consistently good and the selection extensive if slightly Westernized to fit local palates. Highly recommended.

If you are craving some fine oriental food, you need to go to Hunan's... An award wining menu, some of the best margaritas in town and a fine wine list will make your dinner very special..

I have dined at Hunan on many occasions over the years, sometimes have been there for lunch as well. Last time was January 2016. Consistent good service and vey good chinese food. Attention to details, is very pleasant to see. Hunan is expensive, yet not unreasonably so. The restaurant is situated in one of Mexico city's most excluisive residential areas,... More

Hunan is beautifully decorated with lush plants. Service is excellent. Unfortunately the food doesn't match the decor or the expectations. We found it lack lustre. The smoked duck was dry and just served on its own with no accompanying sauce or vegetables. We ordered the assortment of Hunan entrees which were equally disappointing. The soft shell crab tasted like they... More

Very elegant in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city. Asian food is excellent. Don't come on a budget. Service is wonderful too. It's a classic. Been there forever.
