Casual vibe. Outstanding seafood. Try the tuna tostadas. Great ceviche. Even better people watching. Wonderful whole fish - try the salsa verde accompaniment. Usually drink straight tequila in MC but this place has great margaritas - not too sweet. Crowded, bustling all the time. Large wait staff make food and drink move fast. Ate there for both lunch and dinner.... More

For many years Contramar has set the bar for seafood in La Condesa. I've been to the restaurant many times, and never disappoints.Product quality and freshness is guaranteed, using simple techniques to reflect the best qualities in all seafood. Pescado a la Talla is a must, and the Tuna Tostadas are the best in Mexico City. Always packed, you should... More

I went for a business lunch, was impressed with the service and the food, the drinks were kind of ok...but the food was variety, even if you're not a seafood fan. I recommend ordering different dishes and trying a bit of everything, but get your own Tuna Tostada, they're amazing. Tuna Carnitas, Grilled Octopus...are a must.

I visit Contramar every chance I get. Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. The service, food, area... Most of my family and friends are involved in the food service industry so we have VERY high expectations. This place never disappoints. Enjoy!

The most amazing sashimi tuna I have ever tasted complimented by traditional Mexican flavors. We popped in mid-afternoon to a fully booked restaurant but the host was able to accommodate us at the bar. The service was impeccable. I look forward to returning to Chef Gabriela's restaurant in San Francisco, Cala, with renewed perspective having been to the place where... More

We recently had an excellent dining experience at Contramar. We were a table of 8, including friends who own restaurants in the Silicon Valley. We were all greatly impressed by the freshness, taste and original presentation of the food as well as by the very friendly service. Highly recommended!!!
