Wonderful seafood - but try to go during off hours because it gets quite packed. They will close at 8:30 sharp- so try to go well before 8! A wonderful spot in Condesa to eat seafood!

I treated myself to a delicious meal at Contramar for my birthday. Early in the day I was at Chapultepec Castle and walked from there to Contramar. It was easy to find and I arrived just as they opened at noon. I had the tiradito to start and then the fish soup...both were very fresh and extremely tasty. They brought... More

The perfect lunch spot in Mexico City. We went with a friend after hitting up a few museums in the morning. Don't miss the Atun Tostadas!! Best I've ever had. The fig dessert is beyond as well. And don't forget to try the sauces they bring to the table. Pickled and spicy- the green sauce is to die for.

Unpretentious decor so you can focus on the great location (sitting outside is fun) and DELICIOUS seafood. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Margaritas were excellent, and--unlike most restaurants I visited in Mexico City--actually contained a reasonable non-stingy amount of alcohol. I would absolutely recommend this place, and return!

Wow, what a restaurant. The staff were highly efficient and very attentive. The food is excellent and we'd be remiss to not give special mention to the tuna tostadas. A two-course meal for 2 including wine and service cost approximately £40-50 (including tip). Don't speak Spanish? Don't let that put you off - they have English menus. Go, go, GO!!

This top notch seafood restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The service is great and there's a lot to pick from on the menu. I particularly recommend the tuna tostadas as well as their signature dish which is el pescado contramar.

We went to this restaurant after a few friend recommended it to us and after having lunch here I can say that not only would I recommend this place but also go back. We had the most delicious tuna tostadas, al pastor fish tacos and contramar ceviche. This is a great place to come with friends/family specially on the weekends,... More

I went here before and didn't really enjoy the experience. One of my local friends insisted I go with her to try it again, and I loved it. We started at 2:30pm, and left at 8, with plenty of drinking and socialising over the table. Highly recommended for a boozy Friday afternoon lunch.

So we stumbled on this not knowing it's glowing reputation, but it was only moments before it was obvious to us as well: this is an establishment with a deep commitment to food and people. The service was excellent, attentive, friendly and prompt. Sergio is the best of the bunch! We never wanted for anything, which is always a wonderful... More

It is a great place to eat. The food is awesome. The service is very friendly. Prices are a little high. The only thing you have to consider is that the waiting list for a table goes up to 45 minutes on weekends.

Thank Victor R
