Just had lunch at Farolito with friends who recommended his place and I was rather disappointed. The taco meats were mostly dry, burned and not very flavorful, the torillas lacked flavor and the salsas could do with more spice. The grilled onions did not seem very fresh and everything lacked the typical bold flavors that I am used to in... More

If you want to experience how the locals eat then this is your restaurant. Excellent food, fast service, very friendly. They don't speak English but don't let that put you off, the other patrons will be more than happy to help you out. Don't miss out on the desert at the end of the meal no matter how full you... This is where I had my first meal when I arrived in Mexico City. I fall in love with the place afterward. Everything I had from every visit was very good. My favorite ones are the arrachera, pastor and pollo pastor. Prices are very reasonable too.

We ran the gambit of tacos: chuletas, chorizo y queso, bistec encebollado, arrechera and el pastor......can't go wrong with el pastor wish we would have ended with this instead of beginning....spicy avocado sauce and salsa are also delish.

Average tacos .... Condesa prices ... better options out there! Decent volcanes (toasted corn tortillas with your choice of meat topping melted into cheese).

I joined my cousins at their favorite Taqueria in Mexico City a couple of weeks ago for an amazing meal. They kept ordering different kinds of tacos, all of which arrive on the best fresh tortillas. Everything was perfectly seasoned, the meats tender and juicy. The fresh squeezed juices are made right in front of you. You don't go for... More

Oh. My. Gosh. I now know what a gringo I am after tasting these tacos. Totally, utterly redefines the dish. Simply fabulous. Don't be fooled by the fast food type atmosphere (I visited the location at Calle Isaac Newton 130, Miguel Hidalgo, Polanco, Polanco V Secc, 11570 Ciudad de Mexico, D.F., Mexico). The service was attentive, professional and very welcoming,... More

I love everything about el Farolito, there is a big selection of tacos from steak and chicken to pork carnitas. They also have a good selection of fresh squeezed fruit juices. My personal favourite are the Volcan con carne that is a crispy tortilla with cheese and steak, just add the salsa special that comes out warm. There are many... More
