Stumbled onto this while in the city. Loved the food and the welcoming staff. Went back 3 times during my stay. I'm planning a trip back to the city and just spent 20 minutes on google streetview just to make sure I could find it...again. Eagerly awaiting another taste.More

30 Pesos for 3 tacos al pastor. Yum! The queso fundido was also a nice treat. Pretty quick service and friendly. Surrounded by locals enjoying lunch. Nice experience.

I know everybody has "their" place for Al Pastor in town but for me, this is it. It's right in the Historic district so its super walkable. The place is almost always packed so you can wait for a table or eat on the street....I do notice that no one spends too much time here. You order, you eat and you leave. This is not a linger at the table eating experience. This also means the food is fresh. While waiting, watch the pineapple roasting atop the meat, the seasoned chef will cut off a few slice and it will gracefully land on your tacos. In addition, I would also recommend the Torta with egg. Between the fluffy soft bread and the equally fluffy egg, it has this very comfort food quality to it. I think we both ate for $9.00 or less.More

My friends and I stumbled upon this delicious, authentic Mexican restaurant after speaking with a local. The restaurant is in a very safe part of town - we walked there at night! The waiters spoke Spanish and English, which was great! We ordered Tacos Al...Pastor and our total bill, for three people, with two Coronas, was under 100 pesos! Delicious food, small hole in the wall atmosphere and the exact experience I was hoping for!More

This is one of the greatest little joints I know. I've been eating here for well over twenty years whenever I'm in D.F. -- clean, safe, friendly, fair low prices, delicious food, especially the tacos al pastor. Please visit these guys!

This little, crowded, unpretentious place is by far one of my favorite ’taquerias’ in Mexico City. It's located just a couple of blocks from Centro Historico and from the wonderful Calle Francisco Madero. I like to eat here when I am in Centro Historico, even...if I have to wait on the street for a table. I frequently bring foreign friends, to their delight, as I actually very much prefer eating here than at many of the fancy, terrific "serious" restaurants Mexico City has to offer. If you are looking for an authentic "people's" taco place, this is the real deal. Friendly, although a little rushed, service, and sublime ‘tortas’ and tacos of many types. If you are not tempted by the massive ’trompo de pastor’ they have outside, then you must be a vegan alien from outer space, or else. If you are really hungry, I recommend you treat yourself to a 'torta de pastor con queso', but ask for DOUBLE everything. It's massive, delicious, and cheap. Their chipotle and guacamole ‘salsas’ are to die for - and “die” you will if you are not careful, for they are as spicy as it gets. Make sure you order a very cold Corona (or an 'agua de guanabana'), just in case.More
