A tourist might find it quaint and exotic, but the truth is that the restaurant offers plain Mexican tasting food and wraps it in a ridiculous price. There are many, many restaurants in Mexico that offer fair, when not great, value for money. Pujol is one of the worst price-value experiences I have ever had the misfortune of enduring. It... More

Talking about Pujol is talking about Enrique Olvera and his team. Great quality isn´t just the issue here; it is about great food from local producers with a flavor that reminds you mexican cuisine of high quality. Organic, innovative, enviromentally responsable yet traditional food with such an exquisite taste is not easy to achieve.Think of all these when you visit... More

So yes... Great restaurant, great food, good service but is it up to the expectations of a top 16 restaurant... My point of view is NO. So finally after 2 months since reservation was made we were all anxious to get there to our 6:30 reservation, we got there 6:20 only to find us waiting on the street! Sorry sir,... More

If you want to taste Old Mexico, this is the place. It is pricey, however one does not get those kind of flavors in the US. Don't be afraid to indulge in these extremely interesting tastes the chef as to offer. Also a great place for tasting mescal.

So...the chef has a joint in NYC that's putting out solid Mexican eats, but a tad pricey for a 3 course meal. @ Pujol you get a ridiculous 7 course meal for the same price, and get to experience fine dining! Each dish was visually stunning and the flavors did justice to the presentation! This is a must do if... More

If you like Mexican food, this is an experience not to be missed if you are in Mexico City for a few days. Take all of the flavors of Mexico, refine, reimagine, and present them in a beautifully orchestrated dinner, take away the pretense of many upscale restaurants, add a thoughtful staff and a chef who is passionate about his... Outstanding meal, excellent service--- not at all pricey for what you get. Presents extremely interesting variations on local foods. For us, there was almost too much food-- six courses plus mole. Imaginatively prepared, very different flavors, a very memorable evening. Also, good wine list--- not terribly expensive. We would definitely return.

Service was totally excellent and the ambience has the promise of the World Top 50 restaurants. However we were let down by the food. It was nothing that make you go wow or like its so amazing to come all the way to eat this. The chicken was the best dish for us. I just don't think it lives up... More

Service was impeccable at Pujol - from the moment I made my reservation and throughout the meal, everyone was polite, thoughtful and attentive. Being from New York, my expectations were very high. Pujol was up to snuff in comparison to the other Michelin starred restaurants I've dined at here in New York and also in Europe. The food was inventive... More
