Britishness birthday for Lobo The food was excellent as usuall this was my last birthday celebration since 35 years ago british tradition, during our last visit we had French Onion Soup followed by Beef 3 pepers and Wellingtonwith mushrums, they were very tender, to my...children they had caviar, black plum duck the traditional birthday cake with the irish coffe. the butler the waitress and perssonel was looking for us at all time as the chef francis rogeaud, and most that all the personal care of the owner Jane Person was incredible at all time, we had the piano player near and we ask for the common music like every year the Nessun Dorma, as times go by vie en rose, and of course la mer, I was delighted , and also can remember some of my past birthdays when some goberment friends came to celebrate as the ministry of IRS and the ministre of Gobernacy it was as every year what we expect in a high class establishment. perfect. Decor was mock Tudor outside and lots of dark brown panelling inside which did give a an English feel - and it made a good home athmospher for us we will miss the place definetivelyMore

I live in Los Angeles and once or twice a year I like to treat myself with family or friends, flying to Mexico City to dine at the very ritzy "Sir Winston Churchill's". I am never disappointed. Finest service, very delicious cuisine, and beautiful decor!...It's always a pleasure to dress up for dinner at this establishment, it makes the experience more enchanting, as if you were transported back to the 1940's. I had the pleasure of being greeted by the very beautiful Mrs. Jane Pearson de Fernandez, an absolutely charming and gracious lady, she gave us great recommendations from the very tasty menu. I had a 5-course dinner and enjoyed every moment of the experience! I give "Sir Winston Churchill's" - 7 Stars!!!More

This place is amazing. An English style house with outstanding decor. Perfect service. Even though they don’t have a vegan menu, they adapt something for me. It wouldn’t be a good for a vegan or vegetarian, if not is an amazing place. Everyone in my...table love their plates.More

The food was good, rather than excellent - I had French Onion Soup followed by Beef Wellington. One of our party had been before and recommended the Beef Wellington but it didn't wow me although the beef was very tender. But the service was all...over the place. I was on a table of five and nothing was consistent. Drinks orders were taken from 3 of the 5, the others ignored. Plates were taken from 4 of the 5, one ignored. Menus were eventually brought to the table and the waiter immediately wanted us to place our orders. Bread rolls arrived mid way through the main course. We laughed at the time but it really was Fawlty Towers and not what you would expect in a high class establishment. Decor was mock Tudor outside and lots of dark brown panelling inside which did give a bit of an English feel - and it made a change from having Mexican food. But...More

Incredible food with an amazingly beautiful restaurant. It’s pricy, which is why I don’t give 5 stars but I think the price is worth it

True silver service in an elegant surrounding; Churchills is a delight. Visited at least six times so far, and never disappointed. Highly recommend the Lady Clementine. Fabulous.

All history buffs and/or lovers of U.K. culture should visit. Top notch decor and service. The food offerings are good but not great. The desserts looked yummy but were just ok; the prices are very high: US$10 for a Guinness? Be prepared to pay a...hefty over charge for everythingMore

Had been in Mexico for a few weeks and got fed up of Avocado, Steaks, Salsa and mediocre Wine. We noticed this restaurant when we previously stayed nearby at the Four Seasons but wrongly, considered it a novelty place. We pulled up outside the entrance...(where a white Rolls Royce stands) and I knew immediately we would be in for a treat and what a treat. We were given a loverly table listening to live piano music and ordered a couple of the best Negronis we have ever tasted. The environment is rich and classy with expensive linen table cloths and napkins and the customers seemed to be well healed. The menu had some traditional English choices, Bangers and Mash and Steak Pie, but don’t be fooled, all the food was served with a sophisticated presentation. I had the Roast Sirloin with proper Horseradish Sauce and English Mustard and my starter was a proper Cesar Salad, made at the table. My wife had the Beef Wellington, a house speciality, all so scrumptious. As a dessert, we had two Irish Coffees and again, they were made at the table with great skill and flair. We chose a bottle of ice cooled French Chablis for the wine, which was outstanding. The bill was about £180.00 which, for the best meal we have had had in 20 years, was a snip. If you are staying in Mexico City, you will need you brains testing if you don’t visit this amazing place. If you read this Mr Management, thank you, you really do achieve excellence ...More
