Delicious food. Delicious coffee. Fun atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating plus live music. We went for breakfast. Would go back.

Hi expectations because of the great reviews and it was completely full when we arrived. The waiter took the order without writing it down and they forgot 2 coffees and 2 juices. We asked for hot sauce 3 times and they forgot. The food was...nice but very expensive. Mine was a 5/10 but my wife’s avocado toast 9/10. Overall a bit disappointing.More
Nothing annoys me more than getting your eggs hot, but then having to wait until you get your tortilla/bean/avocado....and by then the eggs are cold. Unless it’s not getting your coffee until after you’ve eaten? Or maybe it’s worse to have 2 extra items on...the bill? The food was ok, might have been more delicious if we’d gotten everything hot? The croissants looked delicious though. Real clown car of service, but the people were lovely.More
We heard about this place from a friend of ours who lives in Mexico City, he claimed it was the only spot to eat at for breakfast and was worth the drive (which is fairly cheap and easy using Uber). I was here with family...and we all truly enjoyed our dishes, layers of incredible ingredients left us with wanting more. The place encourages you to engage with others as everyone sits at one big table, the decor is lively and makes for a great start to your day.More
They have very good quality food. The menu is short but with an interesting assortment of dishes. The best hamburger is there, and the scramble eggs with escamoles (ant eggs) its really worth it trying. The staff is very kind and helpful. Its not a...place to stay for very long time, but instead to grab delicious food, and keep on visiting the neighborhood.More
So good that we went to Lalo! twice in one week. Mexican fare and eggs with unbelievable pastries. Who could ask for more.
Delicious and very good service. The waiter suggested the eggs with escamoles and the barbacoa tacos ( not on the menu) and we were very impressed by the mix of delightful flavors. The green juice was also incredible.
I read some good reviews about Lalo, so I had high expectations. It is ok restaurante for breakfast, sweet bread is really good the rest average. Prices high and waiting time is so long. If you are going with your pet friend, it is not...the place. Its not pet friendly. Definitely there are better places around!More
Start w the fresh-baked pastries and move on to any of the egg dishes, all were well executed. We visited 5 times during our stay in CDMX and were always happy w our choices. Fresh oj, smoothies, strong flat whites, and delicious teas rounded out...our meals. Enjoyed the sound of hand-whipping the eggs from the kitchen, and the welcoming staff, too. The chef’s story is phenomenal.More
Mediocre food and a price higher than most places in San Francisco and NYC. This is unacceptable for Mexico City. If you don’t care about the food and want to pay to see and be seen by a young shallow crowd, then this could be...a place for you.More
I ordered the breakfast sandwich with english muffin that was average and the coffee was cold. worst of all you need to share a table. The food is expensive I would not go back here again.
Very loud and hot!!, they get more people in that what they can handle. We wait for our food for 45 minutes and when it finally arrive was “ok” . There are a lot of much nicer places in Mexico City, not a keeper!!!
We heard some hype about this place so thought we'd wait in line and give it a try. Note: we live in Mexico City and were not visiting. We went with a baby and they had no high chairs, which is very strange for Mexico...City. They squeezed us with our baby onto the corner of a long table but at least the food came fast. The food was delicious, but pretty expensive for a breakfast of eggs and beans in Mexico. Like around 1.5-2 times. It was very spicy so we asked for some cream and they charged us! Outrageous. It was very loud and hot and overall not an entirely pleasant experience given that it was so expensive. For cheaper I'd rather wait in line at El Cardenal, I know that I'll get extremely good service and the food is just as good. Apparently foriegners don't seem to mind this chaos because half the place was speaking English. We won't be running back so fast. Mexico City is full of good priced, delicious breakfasts where they treat you with respect.More
I love the place but they lost me as a client. I asked for Parmesan cheese to put on my pasta and I was charged extra for it. The bathroom has only one cotton towel to dry your hands with, it gets so filthy after...several uses that it’s disgusting, and they don’t change it at all!!!!More
The food and service is excellent. And the interior is nice, spotless and cool. But the prices are 30-50% higher than other good breakfast restaurants nearby.
