Angelopolitano deserves a place on the shortlist of the best restaurants of Mexico City. I strongly recommend their Chile en nogada (195 pesos), the best I have ever eaten so far (a dish of poblano chile filled with meat and fruits covered in a walnut sauce and sprinkled with pomegranate seeds). Equally outstanding is the Champandongo (185 pesos), which simply... More

My wife and I found the Angelopolitano on the TripAdvisor app for lunch, and we were happy that we did The cuisine in traditional Mexican, not contemporary Mexican, but you have a chance to try things you will not have had before unless you have been to some very good restaurants in Puebla. I had a chicken breast stuffed with... More

The traditional chile en nogada is very good, just a little sweet for my taste. Some in my party enjoyed lentil soup and they loved it. Mixiote was delicious. Flan with tequila was very good.

We went on December to celebrate, Chalupas (a kind of fried tortilla) with salsa, pork &/or chicken were delicious, the Horchata with almonds very fresh; then our Magesty CHILES EN NOGADA, they're common in summer but here are nicely prepared in Autumn too. All was perfect but we ask for two express, the most expensive in the city and nothing... More

We came here to each some true 'Chiles en Nogada' - a specialty from Puebla. The dishes were good, but not exceptional. I cannot confirm that these are the best 'Chiles en Nogada' in Mexico City, and they are definitely not as good as those in Puebla. Regarding the service and the atmosphere we were a bit disappointed, it's ok,... More

We had their traditional mole which is based on a very old family recipe. It tasted divine like a deconstructed mole lasagna with a smoky slightly sweet chipotle flavor. It's location is good as well in a nice room with good service. And the value for money is outstanding!

This has been one of my best culinary experiences in Mexico City and it is by far the best Chile en Nogada I have ever tried. I had the mushroom and pumpkin flower soup which was amazingly delicious and the Champandongo which is a chicken and tortilla mole beautifully arranged. My friend had the chile en nogada and it was... More

Very friendly atmosphere and very nice local dishes, you should order a Chile en nogada. Also the soups are spectacular . The building where is located is an old Mexican house . Really cute one and intimate .

This was our first time at this restaurant after several visits to Mexico City. The meal was amazing! We tried two of the mole dishes …poblano and fig. Both were wonderful. The poblano soup was also very flavorful and the tequila flan was great. The service was impeccable. We were seated upstairs in the restaurant and the atmosphere was delightful.... More

This one more than a terrible experience is a disappointing experience! Had a lot of expectations on this restaurant,I have read a lot of good reviews, but beleive me it is nothing like that. Starting from the valet parking, he ask me to park my car across the street because we were "blocking" the restaurant entrance. After that we entered... More
