This is a repeat restaurant for us whenever we visit Mexico City. This time it was on Mother's Day in Mexico and even though the restaurant was full, the service was outstanding and the food great. The evening started with a complementary glass of wine for my wife and we had two appetizers and two main plates. Then we shared... More

Here was our (me and my wife) experience at Maximo Bistro. It was a chilly night in early January. We arrived at 8:00 with a reservation. There were no tables available inside; they led us outside without asking whether that was ok with us. Outside tables are covered by an awning which reaches the ground and reduces wind exposure; the... More

The food here is so good. Very high quality ingredients, good portion sizes, and unique recipes. Everything was so fresh - the asparagus was the best I've ever had in my life. The cocktails are also delicious and unique. Everything is cheap by European and American standards, but very very reasonable. We paid about 600 pesos per person including the... More

Food is of excellent quality. Prices are on the low spectrum, which is a boon. A little bit noisy at peak hours.

If I could describe this experience in one word, than I would say just: wow. Everything we ate was delicious: octopus ceviche, lamb, organic chicken... and the desserts also were perfect, especially relleno mascarpone. Also, since they heard it is my birthday, they sent me a special cake with a candle. That gesture just made the whole dinner perfect.

Warned by the concierge of our hotel that the reservation might be "lost" I braced myself for arguments - it wasn't but Maximo Bistrot clearly suffers from the too-hot-syndrome - waiters as blanco as the white washed walls with zilch personality or sense of hospitality make you feel you should me thankful to be in their presence. The food is... More

This spot is luscious, warm, inviting and has a sumptuously curated menu of Nuvo Classic Mexican fare- very tastefully done. This is a great spot for a romantic dinner or a cozy dinner with friends. The experience feels as inviting as being in a friend's home or a corner French bistro- with the gastronomic savvy and authentic of Mexico City's... More

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. Everything from the delicious cocktails, to the dessert were wonderful. We were 4 at our party and everybody loved it. Great service too. Definetely recommended; it's a small place so make sure you make reservations.

We enjoyed a lunch at Maximo Bistrot and found all of the dishes to be well made and beautifully presented. Highlights for us were a fish tortilla starter and the fish of the day. Excellent service and a beautiful neighborhood to explore after make this an ideal spot for lunch.

My wife and I had dinner here the other night and were blown away. Service and atmosphere were great and the food was wonderfully on point. The morel ragu was wonderful, and my wife loved the suckling pig - enough that she mentioned it as her new culinary dragon, if you will. The wine list was strong with a good... More
