I have returned several times.

I love the place. Just beside the Bazar Del Sabado which is a wonderful place to spend a Saturday admiring paintings and sculptures to buy as bargains directly from the artist. Food is excellent. Atmosphere superb.

With a very nice terrace, excellent food and great service; you will be in for a treat. The fish plate with citrics is superb and so its the chocolate dessert. Great food, service and consistency is what you will find in this restaurant every time.

First, the setting is gorgeous....San Angel is a lovely district in Mexico City with cobblestone streets. On Saturday mornings, many vendors sell art right outside the area where Bistro 83 is located. The restaurant faces away from the bustle of the vendors, overlooking a lovely garden. We sat on the patio framed with large stone columns. We shared two appetizers...the... More

This is a restaurant that focuses on excellent food all across the menu, not relying on one single specialty. Every dish that you order is excellent. For work reasons, I have had the opportunity to sample everything on the menu and the high level of quality is consistent all around. The service is highly professional (no price-oriented recommendations here) and... More

This restaurant is located in the quaint neighborhood of San Angel. It has an amazing view of the garden and the food is very good. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden and since it is also located in a small strip mall. you can also visit other shops after you have eaten. The service is very good and the... More

This restaurant is in a quiet oasis hidden on a beautiful old hacienda style building with green gardens overlooked from the terrace. Located in the heart of San Angel is one of the best places to eat in the south of the city. Service is flawless. Dishes are cooked to perfection. The gorgeus chef is always supervising table by table.... More

The spot is beautiful, surrounded by gardens and trees. The architecture is magnificent. The chef is continually checking the tables and the desserts are out of this world. A must if you visit Mexico City. The area is beautiful. San Angel was not part of the city long time ago. Used to be a place for the weekends and now... More

We have been here many times and have always eaten very well. A bit on the expensive side but good value for money. Wine list could be more extensive. Make sure reserve in advance(fills easily) and ask for a table on the terrace overlooking the gardens.

One of the best french cuisine restaurants in south Mexico City. Superb location in old San Angel neighborhood. Excellent service. Wide menu and delicious deserts. Wine menu is excellent with emphasis on french wines.

The food, the ambiance, the service. We all tasted each others dishes and one was better than the other. From the uniquely upscale Mexican stuffed chilli's to the escargot and lamb, not to mention the desserts. One was better than the next. My friends are Mexican but I only speak English and I felt just as comfortable conversing in English.... More

Staying in San Angel

Neighborhood Profile
San Angel
San Ángel is known for its artistic vibe and elegant details displayed throughout its streets, antique residences and haciendas where famous actors like Consuelo Velázquez, Capulina and other prominent families used to live and that have now been turned into beautiful galleries, cafés and restaurants. An array of cultural and artistic activities are organized in the neighborhood, but it is on Saturdays when the San Jacinto Plaza and surroundings really shine as artists gather to exhibit a variety of arts and crafts, from paintings to clothing.
