Always a good choice for price and quality. Over 25 years I have brought my tourists here and always people like food. Music and folklore ballet. But food is the question. I WOULD SAY MEXICANS EAT TRADITIONAL REGIONAL FOOD HERE. Many new over rated places but Mexicans eat here. the closest to the home made food in Mexico city in... More

I lived in Mexico City on two occasions twenty years apart, and La Fonda del Recuuerdo was one of the consistent in my life. It was always a pleasure to eat there. The food is very good, and is typical of Veracruz, which is a little different from other regions. The main attraction is the typical Veracruz music played by... More

A nice place for a family or even a business casual lunch or dinner, with a large choice of good quality sea food and very traditional Mexican dishes. I had escamoles (ant eggs) and huachinango filled with sea fruits while we enjoyed Veracruz-style music: great ! I would recommend it for a stay in Mexico City.

Eating, drinking (toritos). eating, drinking (toritos), music by jarochos. More eating, a lot more drinking (starting experimenting peanut, guayaba, guanabana, mango, pine toritos). You'll never know how you got home, if ever.

The whole family went to eat on a Sunday afternoon, the atmosphere was fantastic, Mariachi´s, Jarocho trios and more. Play area for the children and my grandchildren were well looked after. The service was impeccable, the food traditional for Vera Cruz and the quality and variety second to none. One of the best Mexican meals I have had in Mexico... More

I don´t know if it is bad luck, but I went non less than 4-5 times to this restaurant, just for taking my mother in law born in Veracruz. When asking for a certain dish, the answer is sorry Señor, we don´t have it today. Asking for nothing hot (chile) in my food (I simply cannot have it), they mistakenly... More
