There was a time, years ago, when this place was the best pastry place with fine tea selection in the whole city. Under new ownership, it has gone tremendously downhill, and each visit is considerably worse than the last. Riding on past glory, and perhaps...a public that cannot tell the difference.More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The teas are extremely delicious!!! I love all of the tarts and the bread and everything!!! You have to try this for breakfast NOW!

A classic in the area with flavors you won't find easily elsewhere. Problem is, as many said before, the service. How difficult can be to have trained and professional staff?

Great place for breakfast, they do an excellent huevos norteños. Seems to be open all day and sells very good artisan breads and other delicacies too. Very busy on Sunday mornings but worth the wait! Actually it’s pretty busy all day but that’s how popular...it is.More

The waiters stand around talking amongst each other and it is very hard to get their attention. The poor service impacted the experience. I hope they improve.

This is the sixth time I came here, I like coffee and cakes are delicious, but today I had a bad experience Many people came for breakfast and people serving are always hurry, they even forget about what you asked for, and they kind of...pressure to leave the place, I do not recommend Ruta de la Seda to take a break, just if you are in a hurry and want to have good food it will be ok.More

The food here is great, as is the service. We loved both main courses and desserts. Very pleasant atmosphere too! Highly recommend.

Really good cafe in a superb location in Coyoacan with a great price point. The dark chocolate matcha cake was superb as was the Rol de Caramelo. The prices were surprisingly accessible for such a good location and quality. The park it is next to...as well as the small street intersection just add to the experience.More

Located in a quiet corner of the Coyoacan borough, Ruta de la Seda offers a good variety of coffees (my favorite is the Turkish one) and desserts. But that doesnt mean that you can not go there for a regular brunch or lunch. There are...vegan options.More
