In what seems like a cathedral, with iconic architecture and stained glass windows, this restaurant creates an authentic Spanish atmosphere, with its design and dress. The food was an interesting twist of Spanish and Mexican, but more leaning towards Spanish. But the taste was world-class

Perhaps my expectations were too high, I had heard great things about the place, specially their suckling pig and the medieval nights but everything was frankly disappointing. Let's start with the show, it was entertaining but not authentic medieval although the crowd doesn't seem to mind amid liters of cheap wine. Where it doesn't make the cut is in the... More

Roast garlic bread is very savvy, a nice treat after a long day walk at the Sol and Lunar pyramid. The cold soup is very fresh, fresh and tasty squid and rice with black ink sauce, highly recommended. Finally, the juicy roasted pigging, the pig skin is clisppy, we can't finish them, and give up on the desert.

We had dinner here on Friday evening at 9 P.M. The restaurant was near the hotel and it was our first evening in town. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The decor was interesting - sort of medieval Spanish castle. The service was attentive - just the waiter and us. I can't say we enjoyed the food or... More

This restaurant is beautiful, the services is great and the food just perfect. Absolutely nothing wrong or bad to mention. Just a peace of advices, if you ask for a cab make sure they call an "official taxi" because the others are super expensive if you're a tourist

Tucked down a side street, you don´t expect this restaurant to have old colonial charm, some large stained-glass windows and small fountain courtyard. All of these elements support a dark and ´old-world´ Spanish feel, apt for the cuisine and the medieval dinners they host in the evening. When myself and family visited mid/late afternoon (in between peak lunch and dinner... More

A very old restaurant near downtown, cooking lechon Candido Style, with the complete cutting with a plate show. Regardless of the theatrics, it is an outstanding dish, worth the traffic and trouble of going to DF Downtown. They also have some festivals that bring rare spanish dishes to Mexico, such as cocido and olla podrida. Nice wine list, and service... More

The decor is a bit overdone , but the meat disjes, cabrito etc are a good reason to visit. We went at a time when there was no show on purpose. Overall it was good.

Staying in Alameda

Neighborhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
