We stumbled on this place walk around the city. It was a lucky find as a vegetarian too. Had the chorizo torta and was very happy. The soy chorizo was crispy and flavorful, the mix also included peanuts for even more protein. The portion size...was enormous and I have trouble finishing the whole sandwich, but was an amazing deal at 24 pesos. This isn’t a healthy alternative but certainly environmentally friendly and very good.More

We found restaurants turning us away when we asked for vegetarian, some said there is salad !! Just shows how much meat is eaten. Behold Gatorta... A lot of people know about this place!!! There is a subway nearby. Luckily we were staying at Ibis...so it was walking distance. The restaurant box is opposite the 7/11 on the map. They even explained in English for us and the people in there are lovely. Food is great (sometimes a bit salty) Wish there were more people who get inspired by these folks.More

We originally came here as part of the 'Travelling Herbivore' vegan food walking tour. On our first try, we got the Milanese torta and some tiramisu. Both were incredible, I genuinely haven't stopped thinking about the tiramisu since I've come home. 2 of our group...were not vegan/vegetarian and were VERY impressed with the food that we ate there. The food was so good that we came again the next day. This time we tried some tacos which were also fantastic. Would love to visit again, and try one of everything.More

As a vegetarian, I’d been jealous of the street food many of my friends have had in CDMX. With a little Google research, I found this stand, and WOW! It is truly great. It is a hidden treasure. I had the torta pibil (soya) and...the agua del día, and it was some of the best food I’ve had on a trip filled with only good food. Excellent flavor, no frills, and the place is clearly passionate about veganism. Don’t miss this place if you’re meat free in this city.More

This was the last stop on the Airbnb vegan vegetarian food tour. Not hungry at this point but I still ate and loved the seitan torta. Location is central and easily accessible.

I found Gatorta on HappyCow and Tripadvisor. Mexico City has a wealth of vegan options, but I was jealous of all of those carnivores being able to eat street food anywhere! Gatorta was the answer to my prayers. Delicious, fresh vegan tacos, with fillings made...from soya and seitan and a wealth of different salsas. The chef and staff were very friendly and happy to see us, and the tacos were amazing. A must visitMore

The food here is vegan and good. Great price. It’s cat themed and the staff was super nice. We had a bunch of tacos and a dessert. Super good food.
