It was just mostly bad food. Was it the Caesar Salad? Waiter was busy preparing salad when we saw him walk away holding romaine leaf/leaves and then returned continued doing something with salad and presented it. My plate was saturated with yellow looking liquid all...More

I have been a patron at Antigua Hacienda de Tlalpan for more than 30 years but had not been back in a while. The place is beautiful and it may be worth a visit if you have not been there before but the food and...More

Visiting Mexico City? Ready to try one of the best places for original mexican food? Well, don't look any further...This sounds like a paid commercial, but this was my third visit to the same restaurant in my last three visits to this giant metropole and...every...More

Went to the place is very nice need to get a table near the garden. Got a feeling there are too many waiters you wish to be let alone at some point. Food is traditional Mexican.. for the beauty of the place would go back

This is one of my favorites spots in Mexico, eventhough the food is not anymore as good as used to be, but the ambiance and the music is lovely, you will find some peacoks and some other lovely stuff. I will recommend it for dinner...More

Unbelievably poor service and food. Went there for lunch on a Saturday, and none --not one!-- of the dishes was good. Even if the gardens are somewhat worth seeing, overall value for money is a no-no.

This used to be a beautiful restaurant with great food, now is just a nice place. Feels old and dated. Menu is overpriced for 80's food.

Antigua Hacienda de Tlalpan is beautiful. The dining areas surround a beautifully maintained garden. the service is attentive and professional. Alas, the food is inconsistent. Some of the dishes were excellent and others simply had too much of whatever the sauce that accompanied the dish....More

The setting of this restaurant is lovely but the menu was a bit much for someone who doesn't eat mammals. The starter was ant eggs and fried worms, which I couldn't force myself to try. The cheese filled chili pepper, guacamole, salsa and margaritas were...More

Highlights: 1) Don Julio 1942 tequila, 2) Escamoles! (Mexican caviar), 3) cheese bread, 4) dessert tray, 5) “carajillo” coffee, 6) honest staff!, 7) correct charges in credit card. Yes, there’re the historic, manicured, peacock-highlighted surroundings with polished, client-oriented staff to wait on your every need....More

Time seems to have frozen in several areas that still
remain true to what Tlalpan once was, but the clock is
still ticking in the relaxed environment that makes it
the perfect neighborhood for friends, couples and
families who love to explore at their own pace. Plaza
de la Constitución is where everyone gathers on
weekends to listen to live music and where some of the
best coffee shops, restaurants and bookstores satisfy
