Speedy service is a great plus. Comfortable tables inside or on a balcony overlooking the Alameda, gentle classical music playing. Menu has French bread hot beef sandwiches, beef burgers an drew chips various salad options. All of which were gobbled up on tables round ours. Most enjoyable.

Inside the Palacio de Bellas Artes, this cafe is a nice spot to relax before or after, either a visit to the historical centre, a concert or an exhibition within the Palacio itself. The menu consists of simple, but tasty selections, a limited wine list, as well as coffee, tea and sweet options.

On the ground floor of Palacio de Belas Artes, this cafe is a nice place to have drinks, food or just cofee after visiting the murals and temporary exhibitions, or before a concert at the main hall. It is well decorated, food is good, the menu is interesting and you see lots of interesting people passing by. Prices are proportionate... More

Insteead of fighting crowds at Sanborn we settled for this cafe in the lobby of the Belles Artes and were glad we did. Food came more quickly than Sanborn and it was a quiet place with tablecloths. We ate a quick small lunch. Excellent Waldorf salad & tortilla soup Quiet atmosphere in lobby of gorgeous Art Deco building. Don't miss... More

Prior to attending a function at Palacio de Bellas Artes, stop for dinner. Simple selections, and no matter what your choice, you will not be disappointed.

You will like that it make you Feel as if you are an important person who is having lunch inside this fascinating place. Outside is too crowdy but no relevance because it has parking garage

OK Museum Café with great view but not much else! I have been here several times particularly when visiting to see exhibits at the Palacio de Bellas Artes ... usually the service is spotty, there is a pretty long wait and the food is OK but is overpriced because of the location.

You will have a relaxing good view with a good coffee, perfect place for the coffee time break. The bad thing: Usually tends to be crowded and you have to wait a while because it´s too little in the inside.

This place is all about the venue, which is wonderful. There is nothing wrong with the food, it's just very ordinary. If you feel the need to eat in a museum, go to the Museo Frank Meyer, where they make a mean sandwich, It is also cheaper and quieter.

Staying in Alameda

Neighborhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
